Wrestlers of the Week ending August 19, 2007

As voted by wrestlingmarks users

Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences? Top 10s from website staff? Forget all that. At wrestlingmarks, the only votes that matters are... yours. Each week, every member can submit their top 10 wrestlers for the week. WWE, TNA, Ring of Honor, whatever promotion, whatever wrestler, if you think they had a good week then you can vote for them. At the end of each week, we compile the votes and name the Wrestlers of the Week.

John Cena

The Champ put aside his differences with Umaga, took out Orton once and Carlito twice, although Orton got the best of him in the end. Plus, he might just be Vince McMahon's illegitimate child. - DXSSI

Randy Orton

Since his new outlook and change, he's been incredible. I can't wait for SS. - MrKennedyMark

CM Punk

He's one of the reasons why ECW every week has consistency from the wrestling standpoint and he deserves a nod for number 3 spot. - MrKennedyMark

Kurt Angle

TNA's utter misery makes Angle look even THAT MUCH better. He's the sole bright spot on Thursday nights and is possibly the most entertaining star in all of wrestling. - bpapa

Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy will not die, and he won't step back from a challenge, even if that challenge is Evander Holyfield... who gave Hardy respect. Plus, he might just be Vince McMahon's illegitimate child. - DXSSI

Umaga

Proving to be a valuable ally, he made sure John Cena wasn't outnumbered Monday night. As a fan-favorite, things are looking up for Umaga. Plus, he might just be Vince McMahon's illegitimate child. - DXSSI

The Great Khali

Khali and his claw are doing outstanding in the monster role. Of course, his matches are still awful, but at least they gave him a cool finisher. - bpapa

Takeshi Morishima

Picked up two big title defences of his ROH World title over Claudio Castagnoli and Brent Albright. - DaneBramage

Boogeyman

The Boogeyman had an impressive week, putting John Morrison out of his element on ECW, then tagging with 'Car Mechanic' Punk at SNME. Plus, he might just be Vince McMahon's illegitimate child. - DXSSI

Claudio Castagnoli

Despite not winning in his ROH World title shot, put on what is being described as a career best performance. - DaneBramage

Here's the best of the week, but what about the best of all time? If you love numbers, check out our Top 10 archives, containing historical data and statistics.

Top 10 Fact

Despite being ROH champion for much of 2007, this week marks only the third time that Takeshi Morishima has made the Top 10. The other two appearances where in week 5 and week 6.

Falling off...

Sting, Homicide, Batista, King Booker, and William Regal all dropped from the list this week.

So close!

Mr. McMahon, Abyss, and El Generico all nearly made the list, but didn't get enough points.
