IGN's Wrestler of the Year: Umaga

In an interesting choice, popular video game site, IGN.com selected Umaga as its 2007 wrestler of the year. It's runner up was Shawn Michaels. Read more about their reasons here.
I'd go with Michaels over Umaga personally. Looking back at all the matches of 2007, particularly title matches, HBK was involved in many of them. He may not have been present the entire year as Umaga was, but he sure made the title matches worth watching! Who would you vote as top wrestler in 2007?

Hello to all wrestling fans!
I am MC, the author of WWE Characters the Blog. I've been a WWF/WWE fan since I was young and started up that blog at the end of last year. My favorites since I was young have been Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, Ken Shamrock, Papa Shango, The Rock, John Cena and current guys such as Boogeyman, MVP and Lashley. I like the "character" aspect of wrestling most, the various creative characters and gimmicks that we see. While some prefer the pure wrestling, I think these are what makes it fun to watch.

EdgeEdge deserves a high vote for heel creativity sake, as he re-captured the title with look-alikes. It always seems he wins the title in a non-clean way, which makes it hard to call him great. |
