Top 10 for week ending May 4, 2008
Rank Wrestler
1

Triple H

At Backlash, the Game won his 12th World Championship crown, outlasting 3 of RAW's top talents in an elimination match. The feud with Orton continues, and then... Regal?

2

Undertaker

The Deadman was stripped of the title on Friday Night Smackdown and had his SUBMISSION HOLD (death sentence would be a good name) banned. However, at Backlash he had perhaps MOTN with Edge.

3

Randy Orton

Although Orton lost the belt at Backlash, Orton had a hell of a match. Even without the title, Orton is still the best heel performer in the company and one of the best in-ring storytellers they have.

4

Edge

Didn't win the belt at Backlash, but got the last laugh when 'Taker was stripped of the gold on Smackdown. Will the Ultimate Opportunist hear some knocking soon?

5

William Regal

Although he did not compete at Backlash, it looks like RAW is going to replace Vince as the EVIL AUTHORITY for the time being on Monday nights. Kennedy's his first opponent, but how long till HHH?

6

Matt Hardy

After nearly a year, it looks like the Matt Hardy/MVP US Title feud may finally be in the books. A pair of victories for Matt including his title win at the PPV.

7

Shawn Michaels

I think that HBK/Batista disappointed many, as most were expecting some sort of swerve, especially with Jericho involved. It was a fine match and HBK got the win, albeit awkwardly.

8

Kane

At Backlash, the Big Red Machine retained the ECW title over Chavo Guerrero. However, on Tuesday night it looked like this feud will continue.

9

The Big Show

Won the battle of the giants at Backlash, and then on Smackdown stood up to Mark Henry. I have to admit that he is losing some of the steam he picked up on the Road to WrestleMania.

10

Batista

Dave lost at Backlash, but it appears he is going to remain a babyface for the time being. Now that the World title is vacant, will the Animal be back on the hunt?
