  • Reasons why you can't blame Russo for ANY problems with TNA.

    Posted on 8/9/07 3:35 PM

Understand that I don't like the guy, but I'm going to point out several points of why you can't blame him.

    1. Russo was the head booker of the TNA creative team in the 03 and 04 years
And you guys say that Russo is bad... Here's the point, if you liked TNA back then, and think that Russo is bad, then you are obviously contradicting yourself.

    2. Russo is not head of the booking team...
Russo doesn't even run that many storylines, you want to point out the hard Justice Card, or Elevation X, truth is, Russo only has control over 1, maybe 2 storylines in there, and 1 of them is the VKM one. (WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH THAT!) If you have a problem with the booking team, blame Dutch or Jeff, because they are the ones that have control over the most storylines...

    3. Blaming Dixie Carter
No offense, but if she could go as far as Removing parts of the booking team, that would be really great. Mantel and Jeff need to be replaced, with Tenay and Raven, because they are already parts of your roster, and you don't need to sign anyone, because of the money issue.

    4. 'Russo killed WCW'...
Nash was the one who killed WCW, not Russo, if anything, Russo tried to make it survive, and honestly, it lasted a bit longer than it should have, all thanks to Russo.

Thought that I would like to type on this issue. Thanks for listening..

P.S. It's not that I like the guy, because I somewhat dislike him, but blaming him for all of TNA's problems is really -****-ing ludicrous. I mean, you have 1, maybe 2, other people on the booking team which are way worse than Russo is.

Honestly, I would like to see Panda Energy take more CONCERN in one of their investments, and tell Jeff that he can't book anymore, fire Mantel, and maybe give Russo a leave, since the guy could probably use one, after putting up with idiotic Mantel. Replace them with Tenay, Cornette, and Raven, and then you have a GREAT booking team. You don't even NEED to sign Heyman, but Heyman wouldn't be a bad choice to sign, in fact, he'd be pretty great.

1

William Regal

Hey, Regal is now the GM of RAW, giving the show a serious ACTUAL full-time GM since who knows when. na na na na - na na na na - hey hey hey - COACH SUCKS!

2

CM Punk

CM Punk works his way to ANOTHER ECW title shot, against John Morrison. Let's just hope McMahon has the guts to pull the trigger on him.

3

Homicide

Imagine, having to put over the terribleness that is Kip James, on iMPACT. Homicide deserves a spot on this list, whether you like him or not. Plus, he made that 4-way slightly watchable.

4

"American Dragon" Bryan Danielson

The man beat Matt Sydal, and won a share of $10,000 dollars. Not a bad day for an indy wrestler, not a bad day at all.

5

Umaga

OMG He's now a face? Wow... Incredible. I guess anything can happen in the WWE. Still, having him tag with Cena, should be a good thing. He'll make Cena look good.

6

Chavo Guerrero

Chavo seems to get another push, by beating Eugene, who was Rey Mysterio, will he get pushed to the moon, like the last cruiser to do so(Rey Rey)?

7

Ric Flair

For only one reason does he have to get this spot... For HAVING TO SELL THAT AWFUL FINISH. HEAD CLAW TO DEATH, YARGH!

8

El Generico

Him and Kevin Steen beat the Briscoes in a Street Fight. AN INSANE NON-SANCTIONED Street fight. Do I need to say anything else?

10

Takeshi Morishima

Retained the ROH World Title against Claudio with the Backdrop Driver in a great match.
