Suggestions to improve this site!
Posted on 8/27/08 9:02 PM
Ok, in the off chance that some admistrator reads this blog...I have a few suggestions on how to improve this potentially great site.
Don't get me wrong, it's already an excellent place where wrestling fans can discuss and get the latest news, but let me suggest the following improvements-
*There should be a news section where writers hired for this site report legitimate news stories. I do not like how readers of the site can post news, because it seems very unreliable. I often find myself having to go to prowreslting.com or another news source to read the latest wrestling headlines. I'm sure I'm not alone in this and that's not good for your site!
*This site needs to be promoted and advertised more. I had no idea about it until I saw an add about it on facebook. That and only that is the reason that I even found out that this site existed. Advertisements would be very helpful in promoting the site.
*And in personal preference, try out new layouts for the website. Add a clor scheme, more graphics, maybe organize it a bit better to add to the appeal. You want to draw in new visitors to the site. THE one thing about this site that I love more than any other wrestling website is how fans can post blog entries that other fans can read and comment on. So kudos for ya'll for establishing that!
Well that's about all I wanted to get off my chest. I hope this site grows a larger fan base eventually. I know I'll stay around for the long-haul. -
A prediction on a whim
Posted on 8/25/08 8:30 PM
Hey guys- just wanted to share real quick that I just had a sudden thought that Randy Orton, who should be returning anytime now if the motorcycle injury was kayfabe, might return at Unforgiven during the championship scramble as a replacement for someone. Maybe John Cena, who is rumored to have an injured neck, will get replaced. Or maybe the WWE will come up with some kayfabe injury with one of the participants and Orton will shockingly make an enterance at Unforgiven as part of the match. The same COULD go for Edge on the Smackdown side of things- but I just wanted to share my prediction for Orton's return.
Regardless if I am wrong or right, Orton should be returning in the near future. With that said, do you guys agree with me on my prediction, or do you have one of your own? -
Create your OWN WWE Superstar!
Posted on 8/18/08 2:53 PM
There seems to be a lot of fantasy "imagine this" and "create that" blogs recently so I decided to try my hand at it. In this particular blog, I'd like to see people create their very own WWE Superstar. Decide background info, style of wrestling, and any interesting notes that could make your character succeed in the world of sports entertainment!
My wrestler's name is Ivan Gorbachav. He is a Russian mix-martial artist whose looking to make a name for himself in professional. He is confident that his wide array of fighting skills and black belts can help him dominate in the WWE.
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 230 lbs.
Race: White
Home Country: Russia
Age: 29
His wrestling style is a mixture of what you see in the UFC, and Kurt Angle's. He looks very stiff while fighting and utilizes open fists, elbows, and high and low kicks. He has no special move, and can finish opponents out with a submission with any body part, and also deadly blows like a high kick to the jaw. Before his debut on a payperview, such as Unforgiven, he should have three of four intense video promos and an interview on the Monday Night Raw before Unforgiven. In the interview, he will talk about all of his accomplishments in mix martial arts, and all of the black belts and training he has recieved. He carries himself with such confidence and arrogance that the fans will hate him. The fact that he is Russian after recent occurences will help draw big heat for him.
His ring attire would be tight black shorts, no shirt, and mix martial arts gloves. He would come to the ring in a black hoodie with the hood up over his head, and take it off before the match starts.
His debut at the payperview would be a short one against the likes of a veteran-jobber, like Hardcore Holly. He would finish the match after a dominating short performance. making Hardcore tap to a painful armbar.
Well, that would be my WWE superstar. Feel free to share you opinions on Ivan Gorbachav and create your own wrestler!
