  • My Summer Slam 2007 Predictions & An Interesting True Story

    Posted on 8/24/07 11:07 PM

Firstly, I want to say that what I am about to say is indeed 100% true. The story is about predictions from MOI of course. The story goes as follows. Unforgiven 2006 was one PPV where I predicted the entire order of the card CORRECTLY, but missed on a few predictions in the win/lose column. Had I not missed those, I would've predicted every thing 100% correctly. However, since then, I've been hit and miss with the wins/losses, but I've been even more hit and miss with the order of the card. I'm lucky if I can get any correct predictions in succession. Anyways, now that the story is over, this is my transition into my Summer Slam predictions.

Alright then, let me get on with it....

*My Summer Slam 2007 Predictions Of Winners*

    - WWE Title Match -
John Cena (c) ~V~ Randy Orton

    My Prediction: Randy Orton

My Comments: Well, Summer Slam has been courteous to Randy in the past, so I think it will be the same case. Despite "reports" saying it'll happen, I think it will because a change is needed.

    - King Of Kings Match -
    Triple H ~V~ King Booker

    My Prediction: Triple H

My Comments: I don't think Triple H would be losing in his return, so I am sticking with that theory.

    - World Heavyweight Title Match -
Batista ~V~ The Great Khali (c)

    My Prediction: Batista (by DQ)

My Comments: I say Batista by DQ is because I don't think Khali will lose it only a little over a month (if my math is right I mean) of a reign. I think Batista will find a way to reverse or get out of the Claw and Khali gets mad and gets himself DQ'ed by whatever way.

    - Return Match -
    Rey Mysterio ~V~ Chavo Guerrero

    My Prediction: Rey Mysterio

My Comments: Same theory as my prediction of the King Of Kings match.

    - ECW Title Match -
    CM Punk ~V~ John Morrison

    My Prediction: CM Punk

My Comments: I believe CM Punk will win, but the feud won't be over.

    - Triple Threat Intercontinental Title Match -
    Umaga (c) ~V~ Mr. Kennedy ~V~ Carlito

    My Prediction: Mr. Kennedy

My Comments: Some how, some way, I see Mr. Kennedy coming out with the win and the gold.

    - Grudge Match -
    Kane V Finlay

    My Prediction: Kane

My Comments: I just feel Kane will get the win. I can't explain why.

    - Divas Battle Royal For Number 1 Contender Spot For Women's Title -
    Divas From All Brands

    My Prediction: Mickie James

My Comments: I know Melina seems like the favorite, but I just don't see it. So, I'm going with Mickie.

*My Summer Slam 2007 Predictions Of The Order Of The Card*

    1. Rey Mysterio V Chavo Guerrero
    2. Kane V Finlay
    3. Triple Threat Intercontinental Title Match
    4. ECW Title Match
    5. Diva Battle Royal
    6. World Heavyweight Title Match
    7. King Of Kings Match
    8. WWE Title Match

Well, those are my full predictions, so we'll see if I am right or wrong.

  • A Little Intro & Why I Like Mr. Kennedy

    Posted on 8/18/07 1:10 PM

Well, I got a message via my You Tube page and I decided to give it a try. It looks nice and I think I can get used to it. Anyways, here's a little bit about me and then I'll explain why I am a fan of Mr. Kennedy's.

I'm 22 (almost 23 in about a month and a little more), I've been a fan of wrestling since WrestleMania 4 and as I've grown older I expanded my interest and knowledge of wrestling. I also like other things as Movies/TV/Sports/Ect...., but this is about wrestling, so I'll be discussing just that. I am huge old school fan and Iron Sheik is also a favorite of mine that I am high on right now (not that way -_-).

That's it for an intro I suppose, so let me get on with why I like Mr. Kennedy.

I'm a firm believer of "Simplicity Is The Key" when it comes to wrestling and building stars and what not. This is part of the reason why I like Mr. Kennedy. When he came onto the scene he said his name twice and as they say the rest is history. It was something so simple that caught on and he capitalized on it. However, getting over on something simple isn't as easy as it seems. The wrestler needs to have something that increases the simple longevity and Mr. Kennedy's natural charisma is doing just that. He's not too shabby in the ring either, so that helps a bunch.

Mr. Kennedy reminds me of the new/future generation of Piper and the now generation of Chris Jericho. You may ask, why I would make that comparison? Well, its easy to be honest to make it. Piper and Jericho have a knack for using their natural charisma to work the crowd on the stick and work the crowd in the ring. Now while I am not saying Mr. Kennedy is exactly at their level right now, but Mr. Kennedy in my opinion has come from that mold of wrestler. Having all the tools is almost a rarity these days and Mr. Kennedy is one of the reasons why its almost instead of is.

Mr. Kennedy is just one of the stars with a bright future and could potentially be a big household name in the future and to be honest, he's not far from it. He knows how to antagonize the fans and get under their skin and he knows how to get them to flock all over his every word. Its just something about him that he has that the likes of Jericho and Piper had that just works from an overall perspective.

Well, thats about it. I'll be posting my thoughts from time to time (hectic work schedule, well, just for time being anyways), but I will be definitely keeping an eye on this place and will be reading and viewing other fans thoughts.

Week ending Aug 19, 2007
Rank Wrestler
1

John Cena

I know I may take some heat, but John Cena consistently performs his best each and every time and with that, he proves the haters wrong.

2

Randy Orton

Since his new outlook and change, he's been incredible. I can't wait for SS.

3

CM Punk

He's one of the reasons why ECW every week has consistency from the wrestling standpoint and he deserves a nod for number 3 spot.

4

Abyss

More often than not, Abyss seems to be over looked by fans and guys like Angle or Joe is placed above him, well, while they are good, Abyss deserves just as much recognition, for what he does.

5

Mr. McMahon

Since "coming back from his death", Vince has been on a roll and this storyline is helping the interest for RAW.

6

John Morrison

He has been improving each and every week on the mic. In the ring there's no problems.

7

"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

One of the underrated X Division stars. His character has helped him heaps.

8

John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Each week he just wins the commentator award from me.

9

Armando Estrada

A nice surprise to see him as ECW's GM. I like this move to be honest.

10

Karen Angle

Not only is she hot (don't mean it in any bad way), but she did a good job on IMPACT in that segment.
