  • TNA finally pushing their own talent?

    Posted on 5/13/08 4:58 PM

I've noticed this in the past few months. We've seen Kaz, Matt Morgan, James Storm, Robert Roode, and most importantly Samoa Joe all recieve big pushes, while Kurt Angle's started to take a back pedal, and the main purpose for Sting and Booker T is to help make new stars. It's about damn time. It's been said time and time again that TNA needs to create its own identity, and it looks like they're finally starting do so. While May wasn't that good of a month for TNA, it seems like TNA is starting to go in the right direction and stop all of this Russo BS. What they need to do now is improve the X Divison. Their Women's Division is the best in the country besies SHIMMER, bar none. And they're finally going in the righ direction with the man event. But with Vince Russo on the booking team, we better hope that he doesn't find a way to fuck shit up.

  • WELCOME TO MONDAY NIT-RAW!!!

    Posted on 4/28/08 11:33 PM

That was the worst Raw ending I've EVER seen. Vince Russo must be pissed that he didn't think of this first. Does Vince not realize that 17,000 people KNOW the finish and with a little thing called the internet, it will leak out? Ugh, and even worse was the logic. If William Regal is mad at being booed, why does he screw over THE TV AUDIENCE?! And it's not like the match will continue until next week. It's a live show, they can't end in the middle of a match and say, "Who will win? Stay tuned to see the conclusion of this match on the next exciting episode of Monday Night Raw!*cue Dragon Ball Z theme*" And it was a good Raw up until that ending. This reminds me of the stupid shit WCW did in its dying years.

  • The best year to be a wrestling fan?

    Posted on 4/23/08 9:15 PM

There are always those years where wrestling reaches a high-point and every promotion is enjoyable. While 2000 was awesome for WWF, it was a dismal year for WCW, and ECW went through horrible woes with a stripped down roster. In my opinion, 1997 was the best year in Wrestling history. WWF, WCW, and ECW were all enjoyable. For WWF, the period from March to November was some of the best wrestling on TV. You had the Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels real life feud that translated well onscreen. Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin, USA VS. Canada, UT vs. HBK, the entire Canadian Stampede card, Mankind vs. HHH, the creation of DX, and so much more. WCW was good too. The NWO wasn't stale (yet), and the mid-card was awesome, with some of the best wrestlers in the world - Chrs Benoit, Chris Jericho, Rey Misterio, Psicosis, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, etc. And ECW showed National Potential, with 3 Pay-Per-Views, and a cross-promotional feud with the second most popular promotion in the US at that time, WWF. It was incredible.

Week ending Feb 24, 2008
Rank Wrestler
1

Triple H

He won the Elimination chamber and is now in the Main Event of Wrestlemania XXIV. So where does The Game go from here?

2

Undertaker

He won the Elimination Chamber match as the #1 entrant and will now face Edge at Wrestlemania. Will The Deadman go 16-0 and capture his sixth World Title?

3

Samoa Joe

In the past few weeks he's looked liked a badass rather than a baby. Will TNA finally put the World Title on him?

4

Edge

Even though he had an advantage, he retained the WHC in 5 minutes at No Way Out. Will he retain at Wrestlemania, or will he be another stepping stone in UT's winning streak?

5

Randy Orton

Although he looked like a pussy in the process, Orton was safe and got DQ'd to retain the title. Will he retain at Wrestlemania or will John Cena suck up enough or HHH play enough politics to win?

6

Chris Jericho

Even though he was superkicked out of the Elimination Chamber match, he managed to get two pins over JBL for the last week. Where will he go from here?

7

Awesome Kong

She beat ODB in a street fight and retained the title. But will she eventually drop the title to Gail Kim?

8

Tomko

Even though he's been brought down to Angle's latest cronie, he still looked strong this week.

9

Shawn Michaels

He might have lost the Chamber match, but he still managed to looked strong in the process.

10

The Big Show

He made an awesome return at No Way Out and did a great angle in the process, although he ended up with a broken nose.
