• I am SOOOOOOOO Pissed!!!

  Not even a long drawn out blog. My cable company is in disputes with the local station that carried (as in PAST tense) MY Network (MYNDY-TV in Indianapolis, IN). So, what has two thumbs and can't watch SmackDown (or, more importantly THE MUTHAFUCKIN' COLTS GAME THIS WEEKEND!!!)... This guy... I now open the forum to your sympathies.

• What Do We REALLY Need?

  I will try not to make this a long, drawn out diatribe. I love wrestling. Period. Capital L, capital O, capital V and E, love wrestling! In loving wrestling, and since joining this site, I've found not only fellow fans, but, a lot of guys, seemingly, bitter about the direction that professional wrestling is going. Yeah, wrestling is kinda monopolized by Vinnie Mac and family, yeah, wrestling storylines are kinda gay right now, and yeah, a LOT of guys are skating because they have great mic skills and ZERO ring skills (I won't name names...). But, as a fan, as a guy who loves wrestling, I came to grips with this years ago... I knew this was coming when ECW "invaded" Monday Night Raw (in 1997, I believe... I know someone on here will correct me), YEARS before Vince showed up on Nitro. Why I came to grips with it was because I knew one thing: I am a BIGGER fan of great (not good), GREAT matches! And I, on occassion, get GREAT matches. Watching SummerSlam here in Indianapolis, IN (my hometown... No, I'm not a Pacers fan... Yes, I think the Colts are AWESOME), I got another one in Taker vs Edge. And I know that some folks are thinking otherwise, but I thought JBL and Punk did a HELL of a job! And I know that some cynics are saying "Taker and Edge did Hell in the Cell, it was supposed to be good..." and to that I say, "Quit yer bitchin'!" Sometimes WWE gives you overkill. I can admit that, but, this time, this was well worth a 2 month break and and 2 week hype! Also, as a fan, I must say this too, CENA CARRIED BATISTA. There, someone said it... Anyhoo, I'm still geekin' right now, kinda hopin they stay in town drinking a little bit so I can say what's up to a few of the boys... All in all, I leave you, my fellow wrestling marks with a simple question: What will it take for YOU to love wrestling, again? And, if you always have loved it, what made you love it in the first place?

• In Shock and Awe

  I don't know what the proper response should be, but, I personally feel that THIS is the way. Screw trying to sway votes, I'm simply proud and honored to be part of the July blogger of the month contest! I've been reading a little bit of everything lately, and I must admit thatseeing my name on the voting list is something I surely wasn't expecting. I've been trying to figure out "why me?" since I logged on last night, and still haven't come up with a viable explanation. I told 92tombstone92 that with his current "What/Who would you..." series, that HE would definitely get my vote for blogger of the month (gotta add damn123 for his contributions, as well). If you guys aren't reading them, you should be, because the guy is simply a fan posing wonderful fan questions. And it's cool in the way that they bring out true "fandom" (if that's a real word). I'm also enjoying the current posts about HoFers and future HoFers by 92tombstone92, as well. It's cool to see where everybody ranks the most popular names of this and any other time, as well as reading well thought out points of debate for their favorite's cases. Hell, I found Sav3usJ1m1B's post "Mike Adamle is a Fuck Tard!" so cool, that I posted "WHY Mike Adamle is a Fuck Tard" out of respect, of course. Being on this site and reading what fans have to say about the biz is a pleasure, and even if I don't win blogger of the month (this time. Next time, WE RIOT!!! J/k), I'll still log on just to catch the latest rantings and ravings of wrestling's greatest fans.
