Top 10 for week ending Sep 2, 2007
Rank Wrestler
1

Triple H

The King of Kings... there is only one.

2

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio returned to action after months on injury, gained his revenge against Chavo Guerrero and earned #1 contendership status. You might say his lengthy absence had a silver lining.

3

Matt Hardy

As unexpected as can be, Matt Hardy now holds another tag team championship, but with MVP as his tag team partner. Can they keep it together while still feuding over the US Championship?

4

MVP

MVP did what he said he'd do... he won the tag team championships, without even picking his partner. He didn't fare well against Stone Cold Steve Austin, though.

5

John Cena

Gotta give Cena credit, he found a way to beat Randy Orton, despite plentiful pragmatic predictions of his demise.

6

John Morrison

With some difficulty, he managed to retain the ECW Championship over 'Cheech Marin' Punk. Nevertheless, the two are scheduled for another encounter down the road.

7

CM Punk

You have to hand it to the guy. 'Casino Mogul' Punk keeps getting beat, but he won't give up and is headed for another round with John Morrison.

8

Umaga

Umaga was dominant this week, destroying Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, and Jeff Hardy in a span of two nights. And he's still the Intercontinental Champion.

9

Finlay

He lost to Kane at Summerslam, but beat him when it counted on Smackdown. Of course, he also lost to Rey in the finals, but he still makes the list this week.

10

Randy Orton

Though Orton lost his championship opportunity at Summerslam, he's determined to prove that he's worth another shot... no matter what.
