  • SOMEONE TEACH TNA/VINCE RUSSO HOW TO BOOK A PPV! PLEASE?!

    Posted on 5/12/08 11:31 AM

Ok, now I am just a mark and all but for the love of God, someone needs to tell Vince Russo and the rest of TNA managment that you dont need 3-4 gimmick matches. You dont need 5 matches to have dirty finishes when we know that they're not going to lead to anything, and the matches arent that important to begin with. And all this on top of an important tag-team title tournament.

I didnt watch Sacrafice last night because TNA long ago lost my PPV dollar. And the PPV's I do watch from TNA are usually ripped on the internet. But when I read the results I was angered because they do the same formula for every PPV. Sure WWE does too most of the time but they dont have multiple run-ins by the same guy two matches in a row.

TNA introduced a new gimmick match, the "TerrorDome". So you'd think they'd use Angle, Sting, Nash, Christian Cage, and Booker T, right? Well no. They used the X-Division guys who are usually just thrown into shit anyway. Well it had to have been for the X-Title right? No again. It was to become #1 contender! And it seemed like something from a 1980's Stallone movie. You had to climb outta a hole. Really?

Then there was the Knockouts Battle Royal/Ladder/Hair match. Was there any gimmick match not used on this PPV? Was anything on a pole? I dont think so. Hope not.

LAX winning the titles was cool. But did Hector need to help them twice in a row? It makes them come off as a team who cant stand on their own. This was something you'd do with Konan when they were heels. Doing now jsut makes them look like a joke.

And the main event was predictable even when Angle was in it.

So to sum it up. TNA needs to stop repeating themselves. Mainly the run-ins. O my God the run-ins need to stop happening over and over on every PPV.

When the WWE does a run in it usually leads to something, and the heel getting a taste of there own medicine. And its usually done in the main event, or in a big time angle.

But in TNA Johnny Devine can be in a "dangerous" match like the TerrorDome and then interfere 2 times for Team 3D?

    I dont get it.

  • Dragon Gate talent to be used in TNA X-Cup!

    Posted on 5/7/08 10:28 PM

This actually excites me, as Ive become a huge Dragon Gate fan since ROH started using them a few years ago. I really hope they use CIMA, Yoshino, and Dragon Kid. They could add a whole let of excitment to iMPACT! for once.

  • Flair vs. HBK ..."ITS STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!"

    Posted on 3/30/08 11:22 PM

Im gonna go straight to the point on the match. Flair did so much better than I had thought when it came to selling the sweet chin music over and over and a few other spots I was concerned about.

But when HBK mouthed "I'm sorry..I love you" I lost my mind that was a "Its still real to me dammit!" moment. I dont usually "mark" out or anything but I almost lost it, just knowing that this was the end of the line for Flair.

For 18 years Ive watched wrestling and Flair has never been away from the ring for long. Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and The Undertaker have always been there for all the years Ive watched wrestling. Sure Ive moved to ROH and the Indys and love them, but Ive always been a WWF/E fan at heart.

Its truly and end to one HELL of an era.

    Thank You Ric!

  • Saddest Moment of the Rumble Match

    Posted on 1/28/08 12:21 AM

NOOOO not Cena coming in #30 after months of sitting at home(even though that angered me), but instead for me it was seeing two men I once looked at in awe, and still do in a sense today. Seeing Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper squaring off in the middle of the ring in all their old, flabby, barely moveable glory. Sure in a way it was cool too hear those themes and see thrm and maybe it would've been even cooler 10 years ago but not now.
I know Flair's just as old..but he's still in ring shape and hasnt let him self go really in the past 5-10 years.

CENA SUX....And did anyone realize that Hornswoggle was never eliminated? haha

  • MY ROH 1/11 RESULTS

    Posted on 1/13/08 3:39 AM

This weekend was big for Ring of Honor seeing as where it was the first shows of 2008. I was at the first show Friday night in Boston. AWESOME SHOW!! best one in Boston I've seen since they came back in November 2006.
I got to see FIP Tag Champs Kenny King and Jason Blade of the YRR for the first time together against Eddie Edwards and Pelle Premeau. Really good match. YRR came out with some street corner skanks. I was impressed with King, seeing as where I've NEVER seen him before. I wouldn't mind seeing them in ROH full time....good wrestlers..good gimmick.

    SHIMMER Match was unexpectedly bad

Claudio vs. Ruckus was fairly good as I expected...This is where the WE LOVE SNAPMARES chant came in and Claudio seemed into it as he gave like 7th one of the match from the top rope. And a cool multi-back flip splash from the entrance to ringside by Ruckus. Also glad to see Mercedes Martinez back.

Puder and SNS Inc. over some dude from the pre-show. Afterward AmDrag came out after Sweeney said that NOOOOOO one could make Puder tap out. He was supposed to wrestle Hero that night. I wish they would big to Dragon/Puder just to see if people actually want it. This led to...

Brian Danielson vs. Brent Albright- Better than I expected. I wasn't sure how they would work together, but it went well. Albright kept escaping AmDrag's submissions and elbows but tap out.

Kevin Steen over Necro Butcher..somehow this match became a DQ match. It wasn't advertised thay way but it certainly helped. Steen took a bunch of crazy bumps onto chairs including two back first leaps.

Delirious over FIP Heritage Champ Sal Rinauro. We once again got the Ho-Train. I had a fun back and forth with Kenny King at ringside. I said he sucked(which I dont really believe). Told him he was a nobody...He called me a bitch..I called him Shelton Benjamin(Me and my crew kept calling King/Blade Worlds Greatest Tag-Team wannabees during their match).

Rodrick Strong over El Generico. Really one-sided. It looks like Strongs in line for a title match as he was wearing a Nigel McGuiness shirt to the ring. I assume he did some sort of promo for DVD.

Austin Aries vs. (c)Erick Stevens for the FIP World Title. AWESOME MATCH. Just barely misses being match of the night. Good back and forth action. Aries worked as a heel..seemed legit angry at me or someone in my section. Aries did a crazy leap into the crowd from the top turnbuckle onto Stevens in the crowd. Ended in a double countout. Aries got in the ring about a second too late. Stevens got on the mic and told the ref to restart the match. Stevens went on to win with a Doctor Bomb.

MAIN EVENT: ULTIMATE Ultimate Endurance Match for the Ring of Honor Tag-Team Championship:
Jgsaw and Jack Evans of the Vulture Squad vs. Brent Albright and BJ Whitmer of the Hangmen 3 vs. The Briscoes vs. (c) Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black of the Age of the Fall. Alot went on this match. The start was scramble rules so it was all kinds of action. No one sat down from this point on. Evans/Jigsaw and Briscoes flipping all over the place. Lacey and Mercedes fight. Vulture Squad goes out first. Second fall was no dq. There was a great stand-off between Whitmer and Jacobs..both holding spikes. They decided to attack the Briscoes. Mark and Jay bleed. Briscoes pulled out a HUGE ladder. Mark does a Superfly splash from the top of said ladder. Hangmen 3 are next eliminated. Down to Briscoes and AoTF. Jacobs hits the Contracode, Black hits the Phoenix Splash. 1-2-3 Age of the Fall still ROH Tag-Team Champions.

Overall an AWESOME Show considering the World Champ Nigel McGuiness wasn't there. Cant wait until April 11th!
