  • Smackdown

    Posted on 7/19/08 2:45 PM by damn123

Was yesterday's smackdown the best smackdown ever? I think it was the best smackdown ever. The wedding was the biggest surprise of them all. I think the Cutting Edge ending was so surprising. I expected Taker to show up and spoil the wedding not THE GAME. I definitely didn't expect Triple H to show a video tape of Edge's affair. I thought the show was a great show. The matches were great I thought all the interferences made the show really great. The first match with edge as the special guest referee was phenomenal. I think the writers wrote smackdown so perfectly that most people expected either taker or HHH to come out. The lady who "catored" the wedding was a great actress who really knew how to cry

I have another suggestion add like another section on the website intitaled fantasy blogs so every can be creative, and it would seperate it from the blogs discussing about the past, present, and future of the WWE from the fantasy blogs.

  • The Great American Bash - Is it worth the money?

Posted on 7/18/08 7:10 PM by SirWilliam

Hello fellow wreslingmarks, it's SirWilliam here and I bring you the question most WWE fans are subconsiously pondering- is The Great American Bash worth purchasing?

It's no secret that today's payperview prices are through the roof. It's very hard for a working person to pay for every payperview that the WWE throws at you, so many are left to decide whether or not to buy the next payperview. So here comes The Great American Bash 08, an historic payperview that has been less then impressive since the WWE has taken over it's name. This year's line-up seems to be fairly loaded with five titles being defended and a NYC parking lot brawl. The only thing missing is a good IC or US title match which I think should have made the card. But this year's line-up on paper certainly looks better then year's past.

The WWE championship match of Triple H vs Edge should be an extremely good match. These ring veterans should have the right chemistry and be able to deliver a very solid main event with a fresh feel to it since the Undertaker or Batista is not matched up with Edge for once. The World Heavyweight championship match should also be a classic face vs face encounter and I personally think that CM Punk and Batista will pull off a good three or four star match-up. Now granted Batista isn't the best in ring worker but I see this one coming off very well. So all in all, both main events have a very fresh feel to them and I think with the talent in the ring they should be able to deliver.

The rest of the card is not to be overlooked either. In the higher mid-card you have Jericho taking on Michaels for the first one on one encounter since Jericho's newest heel turn. And you really can't expect much less then a great match from these guys. We have seen awesome matches in the past from these two and I expect the trend to continue at The GAB. I hope this great fued culminates in a specialty match at Summerslam; hopefully a ladder match. The rest of the card consists of Mark Henry vs Tommy Dreamer for the ECW championship, John Cena vs JBL in a NYC parking lot brawl, a tag team fatal four way for the WWE tag titles, and Michelle McCool vs Natalya for the new Diva's championship. I think all but maybe Mark Henry vs Dreamer will deliver. I'm just not sure if Henry can pull off a good match, and it's kinda obvious that he'll retain. The fatal four way tag team title bout should be exciting. John Cena vs JBL should have some hard-hitting spots, so I'm looking forward to it. I think Cena will show up all bandaged up and looking for vengeance after Monday night's actions by JBL. As for Michelle McCool vs Natalya- I hope to God Natalya wins it because I can't stand Michelle McCool. Natalya is also very talented and deserves the belt. The match should be a decent diva encounter.

So overall, I think The Great American Bash will be an extremely solid payperview. The matches seem to be anything but stale, even if JBL and Cena have had a number of matches these past months. We all know that the WWE has been on a hell of a roll since the draft and I don't expect their momentum to stop here. Every WWE fan should consider purchasing The Great American Bash.

Posted on 7/18/08 1:02 PM by jeff

On WWE.com it was announced that during the Hell in a Cell match Shawn Michaels left arm was injured. We will give you a update on Shawn Michaels injury later on.

Edge is in the ring with a microphone. Edge has a band aid on his head. Edge also has both arms wrapped because he had to get stitches due to being cut open at Night of Champions. (Edge) Tonight I stand before you still your WWE Champion. You people didn't believe I could beat Shawn Michaels in a match he clearly had the advantage. Now that i'm finished with Shawn Michaels tonight is the night to celebrate. (My entrance music plays) (Jeff) First let me congratulate you on your victory over Shawn Michaels last night. (Edge) Why thank you. (Jeff) That's not the reason I came out here though. I came here to make two announcements that involves the WWE title. The first announcement I have is that there will be a tournament. I call it the Chase for the WWE title. You see Edge each week there will be tournament matches up until the Great American Bash. There will be 8 tournament matches up until the Great American Bash. Then at the Great American Bash there will be two semi-final tournament matches. The winners of the semi-final torunament will face each other later that night. The winner of the final match will face the WWE Champion at Summerslam for the WWE title. (Edge) It doesn't matter who wins the tournament because i'm going to beat him and keep my WWE title. (Jeff) Who said that you're even going to make it to Summerslam with the WWE title. (Edge) What the hell are you talking about? (Jeff) Well Edge earlier today someone came into my office and requested a WWE title match tonight. Of course I refused, but then he said he was cashing in his money in the bank briefcase and then I couldn't refuse. (Edge) You can't do this. I was just in a brutal match with Shawn Michaels and i'm in no condition to wrestle. (Jeff) That's not my problem. So let me introduce your opponent right now because your title match starts right now. Randy Orton's entrance music starts playing. (Jeff) Good Luck Edge. Something tells me that you're going to need it.

(Kennedy) I beat you last night London so i'm done with you. (London) No I had you beat last night and you decided to cheat to win. (Kennedy) A win is a win. (London) You sound pathetic. You know that you can't beat me clean that's why you did what you did last night. (Kennedy) You're not getting a rematch and that's final. (London) I expected you say that after all you're too much of a chickenshit to face me again. (Kennedy) I'm better than you and I proved that last night. (London) The only thing you proved last night was how much of a coward you really are. If you're better than me prove it again. Tonight you and me in a rematch for Intercontinental title. (Kennedy) The only way i'll accept that match is if you promise that when you lose that as long as i'm champion you will never get another shot at this title. (London) Deal. See you out there champ.
