A BIG Disappointment
Posted on 8/17/08 12:26 AM
Summerslam. One of the WWE's big four pay-per-views of the year. Lets see we have the Great Khali vs. Triple H. We have to see a guy who couldn't wrestle even if his opponent is having a really bad day. I wonder who's going to win that match. We have John Cena vs. Batista. John Cena the man who can't wrestle for shit and has uncoordinated legs. He legs are so uncoordinated that he probably has to take some type of medicine just to stand up straight. Oh lets not forget about Batista. A man who can wrestle, but has used so much steriods that he might eventually explode. We also have Santino & Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James & Kofi Kingston. We have two hot women who can wrestle, but unfortunely we seen so much hot women who can't wrestle that I stop caring about the women's division along time ago. We have a man who has a unibrow that looks weird, but unfortunely he can barely wrestle. We have the IC champion Kofi Kingston who can wrestle, but it seems that he may have to job to Phoenix and Marella after the reports i'm hearing making the titles seem more worthless. We also have CM Punk vs. JBL. We got a man who came back after a 2 year hiatus who clearly has been eating two much because he has man boobs and CM Punk our World Champion who has to face this loser. We also have Jeff Hardy vs. MVP, Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy and the only match I care about Undertaker vs. Edge in a Hell in a Cell match. Why should I pay 40 or 50 dollars for this crappy card? Every match except one or maybe two (not John Cena vs. Batista) sounds crappy. Then again compared to last years Summerslam this card sounds spectacular. That's why I'm not ordering. I can see Taker vs. Edge on the internet. Technology is great isn't it. This is one of the big four pay-per-views this card should be better. Then again Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania wasn't that good either.
Lets see what we had at the Royal Rumble. Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton. A match overhyped to be good, but sucked when it actually happened. Chris Jericho vs. JBL. A match that began the demise of Chris Jericho's big return to the WWE. There was also Rey Mysterio vs. Edge. A match that could have been good, but instead this match was rushed. MVP vs. Ric Flair a match that should not have been on the card. It wasn't bad or anything, but I just didn't care for it. Of course the Royal Rumble itself. This is also the day I lost my hair. When John Cena returned I had to shave my head because me and my friend joked that if John Cena returned at the Rumble that we would shave our heads. Isn't this one of the big four pay-per-views?
And Wrestlemaina the biggest pay-per-view of the year. We had a match that was nothing, but a spotfest. We had a playboy bunny lumberjack match with one of the women who was so bad at wrestling that god almighty himself couldn't stand watching her wrestle anymore that he decided to turn off the lights for a brief moment. Unfortunely he realized that he couldn't see Melina his favorite women's wrestler so he decided that he must make a sacrifice by letting the match continue so he can watch Melina. We had Flair vs. Shawn Michaels a good emotional match. After that I didn't care about any other match except Taker vs. Edge because it didn't have that special feeling. When I was watching this I was saying this is Wrestlemaina every match should feel special. They should feel like a Wrestlemaina match. What the hell is going on? Isn't this one of the big four pay-per-views of the year?
The reason I keep asking that question because Summerslam, Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania and Survivor Series are always suppose to feel special. Sure every match doesn't have to be great, but every match should have a meaning. These four pay-per-views are usually the end of a rivalry or the start of rivalry. Not matches that are just thrown together. Even last years big four pay-per-views felt week. Survivor Series was good, but it didn't have that special big four pay-per-view feeling. Well I guess I shouldn't be surprised that these pay-per-views don't feel special anymore. They really stopped feeling special after 2004. Sure 2005 was good, but it didn't feel special to me. I guess it could be worse, but I just wish that the WWE would make the big four pay-per-views feel special again. -

As The End Begins
Posted on 8/12/08 1:27 AM
This past two months my blogs have been different. I've been writing non-serious blogs even some fantasy blogs. Now this blog is a little serious. No jokes or nothing of me trying to be funny. I want to address the current problems with the WWE. Like I said in my last blog the WWE has been doing alot of things right, but now unfortunely this is where I have to address the wrong.
The Tag Team Division
6 years ago the WWE had tag teams like the Dudleys, Edge & Christian, The Hardys, Billy & Chuck, APA and other tag teams. Now look at the WWE's tag team division. Its pathetic especially Raw's. Smackdown's tag team division is better, but that's not saying much. What the WWE needs to do is unify both tag titles. We don't have enough tag teams on each brand so why not just unify the titles and have every tag team go for one title. Not only that, but the WWE needs to stop breaking up their tag teams. London & Kendrick, Deuce & Domino, Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch are one of the few tag teams that have broken up recently. I also see that the WWE is into the habit of forming random tag teams. Partnering two single wrestlers together is not a tag team. A tag team needs chemistry and years to work together. A tag team isn't two single wrestlers who are thrown together within a month. Or at least give that tag team time to work together. The thing that I loved about The Miz and John Morrison is that the WWE gave them time to work together and they ended up being a good tag team. Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes didn't work because they barely defended their titles and we barely saw them.
CM Punk as World Champion
I think that CM Punk deserves to be World Champion however his title reign isn't working for me. It seems like the WWE is afraid to give Punk a serious title reign because he isn't a big draw or main event material. Punk's reign is like Mysterio's title reign. Both are playing the underdog role. I understand Mysterio playing the underdog role, but Punk should not be playing this role. His title reign is kind of a joke and the only reason I still like Punk because I followed him when he was in ECW and even saw some of his matches in Ring Of Honor. Honestly who has Punk beaten so far. A beaten down Edge and JBL. Punk beating JBL means nothing in my eyes and proves nothing as well. I think that what the WWE did wrong is that they rushed it. Punk should have faced Edge at the Great American Bash and then beat him cleanly. Remember from the 4 or 5 times Punk has faced Edge this year Punk only beat him once and that was when Edge was beaten down. That tells me that Punk is well a Punk and that he can't beat Edge. Or Punk should have beaten Batista clean. Beating Batista or Edge clean without making Punk look weak will get Punk over as a champion and with the fans. I don't know how long Punk will keep the title, but I know he will beat JBL at Summerslam. I think Punk's next opponent should be Chris Jericho. If they want Jericho and Michaels to continue their fued then make Michaels the guest referee of that match. However don't let Michaels get involved just let him keep Cade from interfering. Anyways the WWE can still fix this. Punk's title reign needs to be more believeable.
Build fueds longer
It seems that the WWE doesn't make long term fueds anymore. The Batista/John Cena match should have been build up until Wrestlemania 25. Certain fueds needs a slow build and that is one of the fueds that needs a slow build. Building a fued for 3 to 4 years doesn't always work. The Jericho/Michaels fued is working because that fued has been building for months and is still building. The Undertaker/Edge fued has been building ever since last year so that is why their fued is working well. The reason this years Wrestlemaina was such a disappointment because the matches were just being put together except the Taker/Edge match. Even though I hated when John Cena won the Royal Rumble the WWE decided to waste John Cena's rumble win at No Way Out. Randy Orton vs. John Cena would have been a perfect match for Wrestlemania because before Cena was injured they had a fued going. Not only that, but Orton injured Cena so it would have made the perfect Wrestlemania match. Instead they decided to make it a triple threat for no apparent reason.
The other thing I have to complain about is how they are treating Jamie Noble. Every week since he's been drafted he been in some storyline with Layla. And every week he gets his ass kicked. So when I thought a potential fued between Regal and Noble was going to happen I was excited. The WWE totally screwed that up on Raw this past week. Basically it was a squash match with Regal having control over the entire match. Noble only got two moves in. Its sad because this fued could have been good and Jamie Noble and Regal are good wrestlers with similar styles.
It seems like the beginning of the end for the WWE if they don't address some of these problems especially the tag team problem. If the WWE doesn't like there tag team division then get rid of the tag titles. Sure that will make some people stop watching the WWE, but its better then putting two single wrestlers together and calling them a tag team. -
A Bright Future for the WWE
Posted on 8/7/08 1:26 PM
Two months ago I was really getting angry with the WWE and kept writing blogs on what they need to do. Well two months later and it seems that the WWE is going in the right direction. The WWE has pulled so many surprises these past two months then they have in the past 3 or 4 years. Who would have thought that CM Punk would become the World Heavyweight Champion. Honestly I thought that Punk was never going to become World Champion. I don't like the way there using Punk though. They're making him seem like a weak champion which is not good. His reign is like Rey Mysterio's reign back in 2006. I guess I can't complain just yet because the WWE is doing more rights then wrongs.

Oh say can you see by the dawn of early light so proudly we sing as the little girl runs screaming with the land of shiny cars (boooooooooooo!) (Jeffrey turns the t.v off) My fellow Americans, Canadians, and Japanesedians (Michelle my campaign manager is whispering) You moron there's not such thing as japanesedians and you're targeting Americans not Canadians (Jeffrey whispering) Just shut up and look pretty we're still rolling. Is this the kind of man you want as your president. A man who forgets the lines to the national anthem. Do you want a man who has sex with hookers who look like a combination of Kanye West and Connie Chung. If not then vote for me Jeffrey Bowie Jr. as your next president of these 48 States (Michelle whispering) you idiot its 50 states (Jeffrey) I thought California and Washington didn't count (Camera man) Jeffrey we're still rolling. (Jeffrey) I'm sorry its my campaign manager who's also my girlfriend. She just can't wait til later to put her sweet lips on my (Michelle yelling) JEFFREY! (Jeffrey) Sorry. Anyways my fellows americans a vote for me is a vote for great opportunites. Now I will raise my hand and sing the national anthem the right way. Oh say (pause) (Jeffrey whispering to Michelle) what are the words again? (Michelle) Oh my god. (Jeffrey) Cut. I said cut the fucking camera off!
Wait a minute what is going here. Great another commercial about politics. They're everywhere now even on my blog. Sorry about that. BTW don't vote for this guy. He looks like a jerk and the idiot can't even sing our national anthem. Anyways this stupid commercial is how random and surprising the WWE has been lately. The WWE is pushing young stars and even cruiserweights. A year ago the WWE didn't know what to do with their cruiserweights. Now we're seeing Evan Bourne and The Brian Kendrick receiving pushes. Hell even Jamie Noble seems like he's receiving a push. His rivalry with Regal should be interesting. However if seems like the WWE still doesn't care about their tag team division with Batista and Cena gaining the tag titles basically there being used as props for their fued. Smackdown's tag team division is somewhat better, but we need more tag teams. The way I see things the WWE is walking down the right path sure there are a few bumpy roads, but the WWE is taking a positive direction.
Now if you excuse me I have to call this Jeffrey guy. He owes me money for advertising on my blog.
