What if................Undertaker lost his first Mania match
by RichCrow on 4/27/08 6:54 AM
What if Taker lost to jimmy Superfly or Jake the Snake in his first couple of Mania matches?
How much would WWE have struggled the last few years?
I would say that if it wasn't for that unbeaten streak being on the line Mania wouldn't have had anywhere near the same interest especially the last couple of years. Not to mention the DVD's and magazines about it that have prob made them a few millions dollars.

if Taker wasn't 16-0 he wouldn't e a 6 time champion and he wouldn't have had some of the best matches in history like Taker vs. Flair. Taker vs. Kane, etc and the WWE would not be what it is today it be 10x worst than it is now

Tombstone, WWE didn't even acknowledge the streak until 2005. They were just sitting and said, "Hey! I just noticed that Undertaker's never lost at WM! Let's make a storyline about it!"

either way he wouldn't be a 6 time champion and still wouldn't have 3 memorable matches

How do we know it? Every match he was in for the world title matches at WM, they were the culmination of a feud. At this point in his career, an undefeated streak wouldn't matter because even in his prime from '96-99, they didn't even acknowledge his streak and he just happened to accumulate wins.

Even though JR pointed out that UT was 8-0 at WrestleMania X7, and UT did a signal for 10 when he beat Flair, it wasn't mentioned in storyline until 21.
