WWE vs. UFC at Wrestlemania ?
by jeff on 6/8/08 12:03 AM
In the world of wrestling anything can happen. Same thing can be said about mixed martial arts. Now I'm a huge fan of UFC and a even more of a huge fan of the WWE. I thought of this idea wouldn't it be cool if any WWE wrestler faced any UFC fighter? I think it would. Nothing scripted and fake either. A real fight. There's alot of guys in the WWE I would love to see get their ass kicked. Not only that, but if this ever did happen it can help UFC alot. It would attract more people into watching UFC. It would be interesting to see how the wrestlers could fight without anything being scripted or being faked. Of course the UFC fighters would win because they having been fighting for about their entire lives. Here's the fighters and wrestlers I would like to see face one another:
UFC Fighter- Chuck "Iceman" Liddel vs. John Cena
I would love nothing more than to see John Cena get his ass beat by one of the best which is Chuck Liddel. Liddel outshines Cena in about everything especially in wrestling.
UFC Fighter- Jeremy Horn vs. Triple H
Jeremy Horn is a good striker and grappler so him facing "The Celebral Assasin" Triple H would be a interesting fight.
UFC Fighter- Brock Lesnar vs. Vince McMahon
A fight that will never happen, but I wish would. We all know that Vince would get his ass kicked. Who else to do it than his former employer Brock Lesnar.
UFC Fighter- Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. "The Jackass" MVP
Quinton Jackson facing the asshole of the WWE MVP. Like John Cena I would love to see MVP get his ass kicked.
Interesting idea isn't it? What do you think would you like a UFC fighter to face a WWE wrestler at Wrestlemania?

no because wwe wrestlers weren't trained to fight the real people and they would get seriously hurt i would like to see a wwe v tna rivalry at Wrestlemania and at Slamiversery were all titles are on the line from wwe at slamiversery and all the tna titles on the line at wrestlemania

That's pretty much the point. Wouldn't you like to see any wrestler get their ass kicked. Besides they can train for like a couple of months leading up to Wrestlemania. Sure they won't win, but at least they won't totally suck.

NO not really because these people might not quit and they would get seriously hurt and not be able to wrestle for a while

I'm going to look at this from the other perspective. Obviously a wrestler would get whooped by a mixed martial artist in a real fight, so I'm going to consider how I'd like to see various MMA fighters used as wrestlers.
Forrest Griffin is my favourite fighter, and he would have to be a crowd favourite underdog babyface. Kind of in a Chris Jericho or Jeff Hardy sort of role. His interactions and promos with Rampage on TUF have been good so a feud with a bigger, meaner guy than him such as Batista would work.
A Brock Lesnar v Randy Couture fight would be good, either wrestling or in the Octagon. A new blood versus the old guard passing the torch scenario.
Chuck Liddell is a badass, and much of this is from his punching and kickboxing skills. So put him up against a giant, also with boxing training. Up against the Big Show, it would be a David v Goliath situation.
Georges St. Pierre is probably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC, and so he'd need an equally talented wrestler with technical skills. I think Jamie Noble would be a good opponent.
An idea I've had for a tag-team would include someone from outside of WWE. Being English, Michael Bisping is one of my favourite fighters. Him and Nigel McGuinness would be a great cocky team with the skills to back it up.
I've clearly spent too much time thinking about this, those are the main five ideas I thought of.
