TNA's Sacrifice isn't looking good.

Is it just me or is TNA's pay-per-view sacifice getting a weak build. TNA has too many new stipulation matches. This is one of TNA problems. Let's preview the matches made so far for Sacrifice:
TerrorDome match
In order to win this match you must escape from atop the cage hole. Right now I don't know what to think about this match. It sounds cool, but here's my problem with it:
What's the point of this match- I honestly don't see the point of this match. Cornette says that alot of wrestlers have disrespected him but so what. This match is very risky and I wouldn't want to hurt most of my wrestlers for no reward.
Is the Risk worth the reward:
Honestly no. Unless it's for the X Divison title or grants a future title shot I don't really see the point of this match.
The TerrorDome match can be a good idea or a bad idea. This is very risky for TNA. We'll see at Sacrifice. Let's preview the next match.
TNA Knockouts Makeover Battle Royal
First this match will start as a battle royal. Then when it comes to the final two Knockouts a contract will be hanging above the ring. The knockouts must climb a ladder and grab the contract to win this match. The Winner will get a future title shot against Awesome Kong. The loser will get a Britney spears makeover. Meaning that their hair will be shaved off. A bad idea. This match is very pointless to me. I'm all for women being put in different match types like Hardcore rules or Steel Cage, but this does not sound good to me. The loser of this match will lose alot of momentum. Remember Molly Holly. When she lost to Victoria at Wrestlemania 20 and got her head shaved bald she started going downhill from their. I think Angelina Love or Velvet Sky will be shaved bald. We'll see at Sacrifice how this match goes. Let's preview the next match.
Deuces Wild Tag Team tournament
Final 4 tag teams: AJ Styles & Super Eric, LAX, Team 3-D, and Rhino & Christian Cage
The 8 Wrestlers who will chosen randomly as tag team partners: Awesome Kong, Sting, Matt Morgan, Kip James(he sucks), BG James(he sucks too), Booker T, Robert Roode, and James Storm
Yes I said it Awesome Kong will be in this tournament. This is another risky match because of Kong. Now I really didn't care about this tournament until Cornette announced that Kong will be in it. I kind of like that idea. I want see what Kong can do against a man. The risky part is Kong. While i'm not worried about people like Team 3-D, Matt Morgan, Rhino, and Hernandez. The people I'm worried about is Christian Cage, Homicide, Sting, Booker T, Robert Roode, AJ Styles, Supre Eric and James Storm they can easily get buried by Kong especially Homicide. Kip and BG James pretty much sucks so it doesn't matter if they get buried by Kong or not. If those guys are getting beaten up by Kong this with easily bury them. Not only that but Kong can get hurt also. Guys like Matt Morgan, Hernandez, Team 3-D, and Rhino can easily beat Kong. Rhino might have a little trouble, but he can do it. This is another risky match by TNA we'll see what happens at Sacrifice.
Triple Threat match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship- Samoa Joe vs. Scott Steiner vs. Kurt angle
Even though this match isn't as risky as the other matches this match hasn't received a good build so far. This should be good, but knowing TNA they might screw this up. We'll see at Sacrifice what happens.
As you can see I made my case as to why this might be a horrible pay-per-view. Their's really no rivalry matches and every match except one is a new stipulation match. Like I said TNA needs to stop with these new stipulation matches. It's just too much. We'll find out how this pay-per-view will go this sunday.

The makeover battle royal is the most bizarre match I've ever heard of. Granted I'm hearing all of it second-hand (through the Figure Four Weekly podcasts), but it just sounds so weird.

You can tell it's definitely Vince Russo booking with so many inane gimmick matches all over the place on the PPVs. I don't like the gimmick of a woman having to have her head shaved. I didn't like it when WWE did it with Molly Holly, I won't like it here either.
The tag tournament is way overbooked and I don't like the eight random wrestlers being put in teams on the PPV. If they'd been included in the tournament from the start and wrestled in TV matches building up to it I'd be okay with it, but being thrown in at a later stage just seems stupid to me.
And ten matches for a PPV is too many, lots of the matches won't have enough time to be as good as they could be.

And for this to sound less negative, I think given a bit of time the main event has potential to be very good. I didn't really like the Lockdown match between Angle and Joe so I like the fact that Steiner is in there to mix things up a bit.
And depending on what the Terrordome actually turns out to be and what it's for, it could be an entertaining match.

This card just seems too cluttered in my opinion. The tag tourney and a world title 3 Way match would be enough. To add Terrordome and a women's battle royal seems a bit much.
In my opinion, the Terrordome Match is overkill. As Jeff said it has no reward. When WWE did the Elimination Chamber the first few were for a World Title the most recent two were for a Wrestlemania Title Shot. That's a reward!!! It seems like a waste to have this type of gimmick match w/no payoff. Also a match like this should be the highlight of the card, the main event. It should have a big build and be the most anticipated match on the card. TerrorDome isn't the main event, it's a mid card match. It has had no build and it seems just thrown together at the last minute. That makes no sense to me. If anything why not have Terrordome at Lockdown. It's a cage match. This just seems to me like bad booking.
As for shaving a woman's head. Who cares really. If someone like Roxxi Laveaux got her head shaved it might actually go well with her gimmick.
I think that having Awesome Kong in the Tag tourney makes no sense. If she does well against some of the men it could hurt their credibility. Losing to Chyna made Jeff Jarrett look bad for a while. I don't think it will help Kong either. Kong is already the KO champion, she's already a monster who seems unbeatable, beating up guys won't make much of a difference to her character or put her anymore over. Personally I've never been a big fan of inter-gender matches so I don't like this. Other than that I like the tag tourney and look forward to seeing what happens.
Lastly, I like the TNA Title Match. Steiner will spice things up a little. Joe v. Angle is a good feud but the last two matches have felt just a little stale. Steiner's presence could add the spark that has been missing.

I just realized that TNA has over 8 matches. Unless they are extenting the pay-per-view to 4 hours then this will definitely be a bad pay-per-view. Every match will be rushed and short which is not good. Even if it is extended to 4 hours then the matches will still probably be rushed.

Dane Bramage said 10 matches and that seems right (7 tag tourney matches, the Knockout match, Terrordome and the 3 Way Title Match). I suppose they could eliminate a few matches by having a couple of double DQ's in the Tag Tourney. But I assume minimum 8 Matches. That is a lot in 3 hours. As I said earlier, the card is cluttered.

- The participants for the Terror Dome Steel Cage match at the Sacrifice PPV are: Jay Lethal vs. Curry Man vs. Kaz vs. Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Chris Sabin vs. Johnny Devine vs. Shark Boy vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Consequences Creed. The object of the match is to climb out of the top of the cage.
I'd guess it's for the X Division number one contendership then.

Still it seems to me that a match that is being made to sound as big as Terrordome is should have a World title on the line.

Why does the woman who comes in second get her head shaved? I don' get it. If I was a knockout I'd just get eliminated right away so I don't have to get my head shaved.

Also women should never wrestle against men.... It's just dumb. The dueces wild tourny makes no sense. After about a year where TNA started to look real good, they go and make a pay per view like this.

I agree like I said Kong can beat alot of guys in that tournament espcially Homicide and I fear if that happens these guys will get buried.

Kong's not even a good wrestler... she just wins all the time cause she's giant. she's already injured like six of the knockouts... not only should they not push her to the status of the male wrestlers, but they should fire her.

Cptcharisma, what are you on? Kong's a great wrestler, and that's what happens when you put a 280 pund woman against 120 pund women. Jesus Christ, you think the Invasion was the best angle in history, like Mike Adamle, COMEDY is your favorite part about WRESTLING, and you think Awesome Kong sucks?

I have to agree with JamesP. Kong can wrestle, but I just think it's too much of a risk to put her in the tournament.

1) Yes, comedy is what makes wrestling entertaining. You have to agree with me if you are or ever have been a fan of Chris Jericho, if you ever enjoyed one of The Rock's promos, Eddie Guerrero cheating to win, if you ever liked Al Snow, The Hurricane, Edge & Christian, Perry Saturn with Moppy, or Chavo Guerrero in WCW. If you are a fan of any of those wrestlers, than whether or not you admit it, you like comedy in wrestling....
Obviously I want to see a match like HBK/Angle at Wrestlemania, but the thing that keeps me watching wrestling on weekly basis is the comedy.
2) Nobody is giving Adamle a chance... calm down on this issue.
3) I've already discussed why the Invasion angle was sweet. I'll agree to disagree on that one... but it was a real entertaining story.
4) And Awesome Kong does suck. She's just a big ogre who muscles little women around. While Gail Kim flips around hitting sweet moves Kong clotheslines them and hits a powerbomb. Any idiot can do a powerbomb. And in her process of performing 1 move she's injured 4 women. How can you defend her!?!?

Awesome Kong is a power wrestler. She's a 280 pound female, you expect her to be able to flip around and shit? She's good with psychology, and plays the monster role perfectly. Just watch her PPV matches. She does a helluva lot more than that. And if comedy is what keeps you entertained by wrestling, then well, what're you doing watching it in the first place?

I mean, I like comedy and all, but it's not THE best thing about wrestling. And Mike Adamle doesn't deserve a chance. He has a video library that covers over 60 years of wrestling history and the best announcers of all time at his disposal, but he doesn't even TRY to get better. He's been in the company for 5 months and still fucks up names. And now, he has a character where he's supposed to suck. If you fail to prepare, you're prepared to fail.

you don't know that adamle isn't trying to improve... I'm sure he's doing a hell of a lot more than any of the other announcers are to get better. I'm not saying he's great, but I definitely am saying there are announcers out there who are worse (Cole, West, Tenay).... As for Kong, there is a lot more to being a power wrestler than hitting a clothesline and a powerbomb... Now, I didn't see Sacrafice, maybe she wrestled well against a man, but i really doubt it. I will look to see if it's on youtube. But take it from wrestlers like Undertaker and Big Show, you can still be a big wrestler and do some impressive things. I'm not saying she should be doing flips, but I am saying she should do moves.... To make it as a pro wrestler, you should either have the look, the in-ring skill, or the mic skills, and I have yet to see ANY of them from Kong.

I don't know why you think Kong sucks. She does more than just clotheslines and powerbombs. You should watch her match with Gail Kim that came after Final Resolution. That was a good match and probably a good candidate for women match for the year. If you watch this match and still think Kong can't wrestle then I give up. As Mike Adamale the guy just sucks. He doesn't have to be perfect, but I have not seen any improvement since he came to the WWE. I forgave him at the Royal Rumble when he called Jeff Hardy by the wrong name because it was his first night, but now its been 4 or 5 months and still making too many mistakes.
