Best Of The Biggest
Posted on 4/20/08 1:56 PM
In the history of sports entertainment, the proverbial "big man" has always dominated the competition. Almost everyone loves the "big man", as he is the usually an absolute powerhouse who is very rarely stopped by anyone or anything.
But the big question (no pun intended) is: who is the most dominant big man in sports entertainment history? Some people may think its an obvious choice: Andre The Giant. But I have compiled a list of some of the other major giants wrestling has seen, and it raises some questions as to Andre being the top dog. Take a look:
(NOTE: Not all of these men are "giants" but most can be classified as super heavyweights--some are just heavyweights who were more muscular, etc. They are listed in no specific order.)
-Andre The Giant
-Bruno Sammartino
-Big Show/The Giant
-Giant Gonzalez
-Yokozuna
-Undertaker
-King Kong Bundy
-King Mabel/Viscera/Big Daddy V
-Kane
-Goldberg
-Brock Lesnar
-Kevin Nash/Diesel
-The Great Khali
-Batista
-Samoa Joe
-Abyss
-Bastion Booger
-Kamala
-Umaga
-Gorilla Monsoon
-Vader
-Scott Steiner
-Mark Henry
-Junkyard Dog
Now, I am aware that some of these wrestlers aren't even in the same catagorie as people like Andre, but they were still worth mentioning as exceptional athletes who were a tiny bit larger or stronger than other competitiors.

Tag Team Turmoil
Posted on 4/15/08 6:13 PM
What is going on with the tag teams in the WWE?!? They're all a disappointment! When your champions are Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes on RAW and The Miz and John Morrison on Smackdown/ECW, something is majorly wrong.
The worst part is there are absolutely NO tag teams that are any good to challenge them. You've got Carlito and Santino, London and Kendrick, and Cade and Murdoch. Cryme Time may end up being decent, but I see them as purely entertainers, not competitors (though they show decent ring skills).
What ever happened to the days of The Road Warriors? The Four Horsemen? The nWo? The Hart Foundation? DX? Evolution? Even The Brothers Of Destruction (as a full time tag team--I am fully aware of their alliance--I am refering to them in a hunt for the Tag Titles themselves)?
I think its time a new tag team was formed: one which the crowd can get behind and actually competed at a level worthy of some respect AND that doesn't make you want to have dental work done while watching them wrestle.
My opinion: bring back The Hardyz, or make a new tag team. Throw together something with actual superstars, not guys you just randomly pull off of Heat duty.

How To Save ECW
Posted on 4/13/08 6:06 PM
Is ECW unsaveable? I personally don't think so.
I believe there are some very easy ways to bring ECW back to its former glory.
1) More Titles - Just having the ECW Title doesn't leave much to anticipate on the show. Bring back the ECW Tag Championships at least. You might be able to pull of some sort of creative title as well that resembles the United States and Intercontinental titles.
2) Bring In Bigger Names - Kane, CM Punk, Shelton Benjamin, and Tommy Dreamer are the four shining stars on the show. Give a push to a classic ECW star like Balls Mahony and see where that goes. Have some stars like Mr. Kennedy, Umaga, MVP, The Hardys, and The Big Show become part of the ECW roster. This way, there wil be more of reason to watch the show.
3) Increase Showtime To 2 Hours - Half of the time, ECW isn't worth watching because it features a maximum of four matches. It's not a great showcard when it always features matches to the tune of Stevie Richards vs. Mike Knox, Kelly Kelly vs. Layla, Wang Yang/Moore vs. Miz/Morrison, and Punk/Kane vs. Benjamin/Chavo. Include a few more matches that involve the superstars I mentioned adding before and then it'll be a show worth watching.
Any other suggestions? -
Curry Man

What do you guys think of Curry Man?
Yes, I know its just Christopher Daniels, but do you like his new persona?
Just for the record, I'm not a fan of him as a wrestler, but I find his dance very amusing. -
Ressurection

If you could bring back one superstar OR one tagteam/faction to the WWE, who would it be? (This is ANYONE--man or woman, regular tag team or huge stable)
