  • My Backlash Predictions

    Posted on 4/27/08 4:17 PM

    12 Diva Tag Team Match
WWE Woman's Champion Mickie James, Maria, Ashley, Michelle McCool, Cherry & Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix, Melina, Jillian, Layla, Victoria & Natalya
I believe that the heel team will win.
Winner: Beth Phoenix, Melina, Jillian, Layla, Victoria & Natalya

    WWE United States Championship Match
    MVP (c) vs. Matt Hardy
Matt Hardy finally wins the title in the year long feud. The new United States Champion Matt Hardy.
    Winner: Matt Hardy

Big Show vs. The Great Khali
The Big Show is going to destroy Khali and prove he is the best big man in the wrestling industry.
    Winner: The Big Show

    Special Guest Referee: Chris Jericho
    Shawn Michaels vs. Batista
Y2J is going to somehow get into the mix somehow being the referee. This isn't going to end soon and with Jericho getting into the mix, who knows what could happen. It would be cool if Jericho and HBK went to Smackdown taking with the IC Championship and Matt Hardy come to Raw with the US Championship. I think Batista will win with a contraversal action by Jericho causing a further rivalry with Shawn Michaels.
    Winner: Batista

    ECW Championship
    Kane (c) vs. Chavo Guerrero
The easiest match on the card to pick assuming that it stays clean. Even with interference by Chavo's bodyguard, I think Kane will remain the king of extreme.
    Winner: Kane

    World Heavyweight Championship Match
    The Undertaker (c) vs. Edge
    Undertaker will retain the title.
    Winner: Undertaker

WWE Championship - Fatal Four Way Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena vs. JBL
Just like at Wrestlemania, I thought Triple H was going to winner the championship but predicted Orton would retain. Now, at Backlash, I predict the same thing. I think Triple H could win the match and most likely would but I like Orton's odds.
    Winner: Randy Orton

  • CM Punk

This has nothing to do with KOTR. My friends think that CM Punk should or will win the World title aka Smackdown title but I disagree. I think Punk would have a better shot at beating Cena, Triple H, or Orton compared to Undertaker, Batista, Khail, or Show. Punk could put on great matches with all the Raw guys. he deserves to go to raw and win the wwe title.

I did good at Wrestlemania picking 6-4. It's a winning record and that's all I ask. I didn't do as good with TNA Lockdown but I still came out respectable with a 4-4 record. My over all record is still good for the year though with 27-16-1 record. The tie was at TNA Against All Odds in the Booker T v. Robert Roode match that went to double count out, I picked Booker to win the match.

  • In Depth WWE Draft Breakdown

    Posted on 4/14/08 12:20 AM

It seems that the WWE Draft is a big topic lately. How would you set up the WWE's three shows for the up coming "season". ECW needs more talent, period. WWE has used ECW as an up and comer show and should continue down that route because to change now wouldn't make much sense. What WWE needs to do though, is decide how much the ECW Title actually means. Is it top title worthy or is it in the same league as the US and IC titles? I would place it in the league with US/IC because it really doesn't seem that important. It seemed important in the beginning with Show and Lashley but almost went downhill. Now, I'm not saying that Morrison and Punk did a bad job because I think they did a great job but Chavo really should not have held the title. I like that Kane has the title now. Now, who would I put on ECW? Here we go:

To ECW - From Raw: Carlito, Charlie Haas, Cody Rhodes (after losing tag titles), DH Smith, Drew McIntyre, Paul Burchill, Katie Lea Burchill, Santino Marella and Super Crazy, and Val Venis.

To ECW - From Smackdown: Dave Taylor, Vladimir Kozlov, Matt Hardy (Once he wins the US Title) I would bring the US title to ECW because they will need a new title with the increase in talent plus they just need another championship there. Plus, with moving tag team wrestling to Smackdown, the US Title might go down if it were to stay in Smackdown.

To Raw - From ECW: Kevin Thorn. I wouldn't count CM Punk becaue if I were WWE, I would play up the MITB winner moving to each show each week, even if not competing on every one, so he could "scout" the other brands for his eventual Top title shot and biggest match of his early WWE career.

To Raw - From Smackdown: Rey Mysterio. Believe it or not but he needs to leave Smackdown to revitilze the career. He hasn't done shit in forever and going against Edge really doesn't count because everyone knew Edge was going to Mania to face Taker.

To Smackdown - From ECW: Eventually CM Punk, John Morrison and The Miz. CM Punk will eventually go to Smackdown and win the World Title. Morrison and Miz could stay in ECW but if they are going to have these title long term, they should go to Smackdown. I would also move every tag team wrestler to Smackdown because it seems they need something to offer that Raw doesn't have. Since the Crusierweight Title is gone this would be great.

To Smackdown - From Raw: Shawn Michaels, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, JTG, Shad, Robbie and Rory

    Now the numbers

ECW now: 21; After the draft: 30
Raw now: 38; After the draft: 21
Smackdown now: 32; After the draft: 40

That may seem a little off but wrestlers would still be jumping around as they already do. Beside, you only really need so many wrestlers on Raw because most I mentioned aren't even used and if they are they are misused. I think Hardcore Holly is eventually going to go to ECW and be a viable contender against Kane. Snitskey has to change majorly for WWE to consider giving him anything but he could beat Y2J for the IC Title. Umaga really needs less talent on Raw to shine because WWE built up a wall with him not being able to speak English. Plus, all he really ever has is squash matches but given the right push, he could be devastating. I really get behind Umaga and maybe he could be the one to take it off of Undertaker and Punk could go to Raw. This is all speculating but it is fun to think what you would do if the WWE was your own company and you could do what you like with it. In closing, I will say some WWE talent is getting the short end of the stick and I would like to see Val Venis get another rub for a title like the IC or US but I just don't see it happening. What are your thoughts on all of this?

  • TNA Lockdown Picks

    TNA Lockdown 2008

Here is the scheduled card for TNA Lockdown this Sunday, April 13, live and only on Pay Per View from Lowell, MA.

    * All matches will take place in the Six Sides of Steel Cage *

Queen of the Cage Knockouts Match
Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Salinas vs. Rhaka Khan vs. Traci Brooks vs. Christy Hemme vs. Jacqueline vs. Roxxi Laveaux.
I don?t know exactly how the rules in this match are going to go. I think they will be elimination style since there are 8 Knockouts in the match. This is a shot in the dark but I am going with Salinas just because I think she is hot and could use a win. More likely Brooks will win but who knows right.
    Winner: Salinas

TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed vs. Gail Kim & ODB
I assume that Raisha Saeed has wrestling experience but with Awesome Kong as her partner does she really need it? I believe that Gail Kim and ODB will one up Awesome Kong at Lockdown for one reason?the gold is not on the line. This match really does not matter.
    Winner: Gail Kim and ODB

    Cuffed in the Cage
The Motor City Machineguns vs. LAX vs. Scott Steiner & Petey Williams vs. Lance Hoyt & Jimmy Rave vs. Eric Young & Kaz vs. Black Reign & Rellik
I really think TNA messed this one up. They could have added two matches instead of one here. Have LAX and Motor City Machineguns go face each other in a tag match. That is sick in it self. Why can?t TNA see that? Then have the Pumps v. Rock N Rave v. Young and Kaz v. BR and Killer backwards. There are 12 people in the ring plus they are hand cuffed together ? that screams ridiculous. Who wins? I guess LAX will find a way to pull if off but what I would like to see is Homicide getting out of his TNA contract.
    Winner: LAX

    BG James vs. Kip James
This could be a good idea or a terrible idea. What are they going to do after this feud? Did TNA think that far into the future? I doubt they even know who will win the damn match. Does it even really matter?
    Winner: Kip James

    Mixed Tag Team Match
Booker T & Sharmell vs. Robert Roode & Payton Banks
I really hope this brings a close to this feud but I have a feeling it could last till next month. Steiner has a shot next month at the TNA Title and then it?s a matter of time before Booker gets at least a shot at the gold. I believe I would like a Joe/Booker feud.
    Winner: Booker T and Sharmell

Xscape Match for the TNA X Division Championship
"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal (c) vs. Curry Man vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Johnny Devine vs. Shark Boy vs. Consequences Creed
I want to say that Lethal will retain in this match but I have a weird feeling about this match. I think TNA is going to start a feud between Lethal and Dutt. Also, I think it is about time Christopher Daniels comes back to TNA but would he reveal that it is truly him under the Curry Man mask? I would like Curry Man to win this match and reveal that he is Daniels. But what I think we?ll see is Dutt win the title.
    Winner: Sonjay Dutt

    Lethal Lockdown Match
Team Cage (Christian Cage, Sting, Kevin Nash, Rhino & Matt Morgan) vs. Team Tomko (Tomko, AJ Styles, Team 3D & James Storm)
I have to go with Team Cage, especially with Sting making his return to pay-per-view.
    Winner: Team Cage

    TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Samoa Joe
Joe has to win this match or the shit will hit the fan. I can not see TNA having Joe off TV for any reason. That would just be stupid.
    Winner: Samoa Joe
