Raw 11/19/07 Review
Posted on 11/20/07 10:46 AM
The code has been broken, the walls have been broken down and so was the house! Raw was actually good last night live, from Fort Lauderdale,Florida! The first match of the night, Santino Marella pitted against Jerry Lawler was entertaining. I always enjoy seeing H.O.F. member The King beat an up and coming heel! The RKO at the end was a nice touch! The second match on the card, Jeff Hardy and Umanga...I mean Umaga was the sleeper match of the night! I didn't think these two would be able to put on a good program. The first one they did a while back was a bit lackluster in my opinion. Not so now, enter Triple H and Snitsky into the fray and you have a good solid tag match for next week.
This match was ALMOST as bad as the Hornswoggle/Carlito match! I speak of Bob Holly against foe/tag partner Cody Rhodes. Where the hell else can this angle go? They lost a hand fed title shot at Survivor Series, and the next night they are in a match against each other? At the risk of sounding a bit Seinfield-esque, "What is the deal?" What made is stomach-able was Randy Orton RKO'ing the shit outta both of them!
The diva match was entertaining as usual. I especially liked the bit with Jon Secada and Jillian Hall, it's always amusing to see an artist/celebrity do a spot with a wrestler like that. The match was so-so, I was really nervous when Jillian attempted that 450(Her finisher in OVW) and apparently hit Melina in the neck. Poor girl, her ego had probably not healed from screwing up her entry in the ring at Survivor Series! But again the bouncy and beautiful Mickie James hits the Long Kiss Goodnight on Jillian for the 3 count. If your wondering where Beth Phoenix was last night, well we were watching the show from my couch together...(IM KIDDING,I ain't that lucky!)
No D.Q. match...Hornswoggle versus Carlito....no one gives a DAMN!
Which segways into the best part of the night, the Torch Bearer arriving at the arena....and being clothslined out of his Nikes by Y2J! When he hit the ramp and the titantron showed the code video I jumped up and down like a little kid on Christmas! Beth told me to relax,(gotcha again!) no but really Jericho came out and started on the microphone like he never left at all. I like comebacks as much as the next fan, but this was something more special in my opinion. The industry needs Jericho as bad as he needs the industry. So from a greatful WWE fan I say THANK YOU AND WELCOME BACK Y2J! -
My Take On Survivor Series 07'
Posted on 11/19/07 8:22 PM
Well if anyone watched my video predictions for Survivor Series, the matches that I actually made a pick on were right!
1.The ECW match was somewhat plausible considering the fact that WWE has more people doing backstage interviews than there are wrestlers in ECW! Punk hit his spots,Morrison hit his and Miz tried not to screw up too badly! End Result:CM PUNK
2.10 Diva Match: I said that if Beth didn't win it for her team that she WOULD NOT lose them the match either. Result :Mickie hit the long kiss goodnight on Melina(DAMN THAT WAS HOT)
3.World Tag Champions "Whats His Name and that,...uhh..that OTHER GUY!" and their opponents "Bob 'Spark Plug'Holly and the RHODES KID WHOSE NOT EFFEMINATE/MASOCHISTIC ...oh and brings a rat named MISTY to the ring" End result: WHats his name and the other guy win!
4.Traditional Survivor Series match? Why do they have to call it that? We already know that it is Survivor Series...and in formentioned SURVIVOR SERIES one expects to SEE SURVIVOR STYLE MATCHES,no? This too me was the BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT! Triple H is still one of the best in the business, Jeff Hardy was good as well. Umaga did a good job of putting the faces over as usual as well.End Result :Triple H and Jeff Hardy survive.
5.Khali vs Hornswoggle....nobody cares at all. I didn't !
6.Orton vs. Michaels : This was not a disappointment at all to me, due to the fact that this loss by one HBK segways into the RETURN OF Y2J.....CHRIS JERICHO....THE IATOLLA OF ROCK-N-ROLLA tonight on Raw...I mean Raw IS JERICHO! End Result: Orton RKO's the SHIT outta HBK for the win.
7.Undertaker vs Batista : A certified blood bath from start to finish. It was really great for two of the big guys to do a long program like that in my honest opinion. What ruined the whole thing was that damn Edge coming back and wrecking the whole match.
IF YOUR STILL READING THIS IS THE CONCLUSION: This was another in the long list of BAD pay per views from WWE. Not completely bad but subpar at best. I hope them bringing back Jericho will give the WWE a boost in the right direction. Im finished and were about 40 minutes away from the start of Raw, talk to you in 2 hours and 42 minutes! -
TNA IMPACT 11/15/07
Posted on 11/16/07 12:12 AM
Wow,
Impact has now in my opinion beaten WWE's Raw and ECW brands this week! With the signing of Booker T and Sharmell, aquiring the services of Scott Hall to make that "One last run" in the ring as he put it in his shoot interview from RF Video. I found the video on youtube and put it on my page. He and Nash are hopefully going to have one more shot at that Tag Title Gold! Nash looked a little rough at Genesis but once he shakes the rust off he'll be fine. Scott had the famous tag line working tonight, he took the stick from Big Kev and said "Hey Yo..." he then laughed and stated "Yep, it still works" after a pop from the Impact Zone crowd. Hall has always been a favorite of mine but now that I have seen and heard him outside the ring it just makes me respect this legend that much more! God bless him and Kevin in all there future endeavors in the 6 sided ring.
Booker T and Christian Cage renewed an old rivalry in the ring tonight when Cage stormed in furious about Tomko and Styles joining the Angle Alliance and leaving the Christian Coalition. Speaking of Angle he and Kaz(who is fast becoming one of my favorites)put on a clinic tonight. It was everything a match should be in my opinion. This is coming off the heels of a brutal match versus Christian Cage at Genesis. He is a high-flying risk taker with an offensive arsenal that would rival one of say; one Rob Van Dam(when he was in the REAL ECW).
In closing I say this: TNA which I owe an apology for calling it WCW Light and making fun of some of the wrestlers. This up and coming federation is winning over more and more people with their mix of proven veterans and high-flying young guns a two hour Impact event is DEFINITELY worth the watch. -
The Outsiders (The Kliq) Reunion...
Posted on 11/9/07 6:06 PM
Well it was bound to happen, the most dominant force in Tag-Team wrestling was reunited on Impact this past Thursday. Being that I was a HUGE fan of Hall and Nash during their run as the Outsiders with the nWo! Scott Hall , Razor Ramone, Mr. Machismo...call him what you will but he was one of the funniest people ever in WCW. When Kevin and Scott cut their promos it was greatness personified. They had great feuds with the Harlem Heat, some really memorable matches. Then their was the cattle prod incident with Goldberg....and that drinking problem. But there was always that now famous line..."Hey Yo"...I remember watching Nitro and waiting for the nWo to hit the ring and hear Hall on the microphone...and if Sean Waltman can stop fighting with Joanie Laurer for a couple minutes it would be great to see the three stooges reunion tour. To screw over Kurt Angle and involve the Kliq would be genius. Sting is and always will be the wild card factor in the whole thing..until he finally decides to retire. Bringing in say Hogan to the whole picture would be a major coup for TNA to reunite the original nWo members. Albeit that Hogan is not really suited for in-ring action anymore, but to have him as a figurehead would be excellent. With the new two-hour format it would be good to have this as a long-term storyline.

Unforgiven
Posted on 9/16/07 11:40 PM
You know I wasn't even going to put an entry on here tonight and now I have to. WWE let me say this: I hope that TNA buries you someday the way that you buried WCW and ECW. I am so sick of your pathetic outcomes and forseeable stories. And as for your so-called "divas", they are some of the hottest women on television but that doesn't make them athletes. You can take your women's title belt and scrap it for all it is worth now.
FUCKING CANDACE PINNED BETH PHOENIX? COME THE FUCK ON.....are you really serious? Hey WWE I have a GREAT IDEA...let me go out and get Nicole Bass(you remember her, right Vince?)Chyna,Asya(Christi Wolf)and Midnight(Anne Marie Crooks)and Candace can just run through them all in a gauntlet match. Seeing as how she beat Victoria all the way into the basement of Smackdown, and now she can't even beat Michele McCool! Now she has beaten the strongest, most athletic and in my opinion best looking diva of them all in what probably was a joke of a match. Candace's matches usually are pathetic as she doesn't finish her moves and looks awkward in the ring. My point is give us some actual(I know it's asking alot)reasons to watch the womens matches. I mean other than the obvious T and A in the mix. Twirling in a fucking circle and getting collagen in your lips and a nose job doesnt make you a champion! GIVE THE DAMN BELT TO BETH OR LET HER GO TO A FEDERATION WHERE SHE CAN....oh wait no one else has a women's division...hang in there Beth, they will run out of bimbos soon enough....no the diva search is on again...dammit!
