My picks for TNA Destination X
by ROHjuggalo on 3/7/08 3:04 PM
First off, I want to say that since I watched last years Destination X and had to sit through that terible Elevation X match once, I will never sit through that again...plus I stopped smoking weed...so that match would piss me off too much.
Kaz & Eric Young vs. Black Reign & Rellik
I don?t really have any idea why or what this match is about. I don?t really watch TNA but I do follow it via internet and the occasional 20 minutes of show I do watch. Eric Young was in a feud with James Storm over the ?TNA Drinking Championship? which really went nowhere and now he is teaming up with Kaz to face Black Reign and Rellik. Why? I don?t know.
Winner: Black Reign and Rellik
#1 Contender for the TNA World Tag Team Championship match
The Motor City Machineguns v. LAX v. Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave
This match could steal the show. Five great wrestlers and Lance Hoyt with the winner earning their team a shot at tag team gold. It?s a toss up between LAX and MCMG in my mind. Hopefully, The Motor City Machineguns will pull out this one.
Winner: The Motor City Machineguns
Fish Market Street Fight
Team 3D v. Shark Boy and Curry Man
What the hell is a Fish Market Street Fight? Why the hell is Fish Boy acting like Steve Austin? Why the hell is Christopher Daniels teaming up with Shark Boy and why is he Curry Man in TNA as well? Three questions I will never have answered. Since 3D?s careers are ?on the line? I will pick Team 3D because I don?t think they are going anywhere?not leaving TNA or in storylines.
Winner: Team 3D
TNA Women?s Championship Match
Gail Kim v. ODB v. Awesome Kong (c)
Even though Kim and ODB will be working together to take down that huge woman it won?t be enough. Kong?s manager will be ringside and that hurts Kim and ODB?s numbers game.
Winner: Awesome Kong
Strap Match
Booker T w/ Traci Brooks v. Robert Roode w/ Payton Banks
I hope this is the last of this feud. It really only benefits Roode (feud with the big name) but we all know that Booker is moving up regardless of this feuds outcome.
Winner: Booker T
TNA X Division Championship Match
Petey Williams v. Jay Lethal (c)
OK, TNA made the right move in keeping the X Division. Now let?s see what they do with it. I believe that Lethal keeps the gold here but I wouldn?t be surprised to see Williams pull out the victory.
Winner: Jay Lethal
Elevation X Match
Rhino v. James Storm
WOW, I hate this match simply because I actually saw the first Elevation X match and never want to see one again. It is the worst idea for a match that has been booked. If you can name a worse match, let me know. Now if Rhino and Storm had a regular match, I think that would be great but Elevation X. We already know Rhino is winning this match. He was in the first one (even though that doesn?t matter) and he is bigger and much harder to fall off than Storm.
Winner: Rhino
Six Man Main Event
The Angle Alliance v. Samoa Joe, Christian Cage, and Kevin Nash
TNA World Champion Kurt Angle and TNA World Tag Team Champions Styles and Tomko will team up this Sunday. I think we will see the split of the Angle Alliance because AJ is infatuated with Karen Angle and that will lead to the Tag gold leaving them next month to MCMG. Nash shouldn?t be wrestling and if I were Samoa Joe, I would be pissed off.
Winner: Samoa Joe, Christian Cage and Kevin Nash

I don't care about any of the matches. I like TNA, but they disappointed me at Against all Odds and probably will disappoint again at Destination X. I saw the Elevatoin X match last year and wasn't that good. They were just trying knock each other off their was no wrestling. The Six Man tag match should have been made on Impact not on a pay-per-view. It's ok to have a tag match as a main event on a pay-per-view, but for the past five pay-per-views in TNA their have been three tag matches as the main event which is ridiculious.

You stopped smoking weed? C'mon man, what's wrong with you? But, yeah, I never liked scaffold matches. I'd much rather see an Ultimate X match between Petey, Lethal, and Kaz.
Kaz+EY vs. REign and Rellik
I don't see them stalling Kaz's momentum. I'll say EY and Kaz lose by countout or DQ because of EY.
Triple Threat Tag
I agree it could steal the show, but five great wrestlers AND Lance Hoyt? I have one question for you, what did the five fingers say to the hand? SLAP! I don't know what Hoyt's been doing lately, but he was absolutley spectacular the last time I saw him. This guy is a power wrestler who has no problem going to the top rope. I don't know how you can't like this guy.
Anyways, I'm going with LAX to setup a grudge match from their fued with Styles and Daniels last year, tying into an Angle Alliance storyline.
It's a street fight, anything labeled [insert gimmick name here] street fight is just a street fight. As to the other two, I don't know, and I don't know. I'll say 3-D wins. I'll also say this is a hidden gem match. Say what you will about dumb gimmicks, but these four guys can tear it up in the ring.
Women's Title
I'll say ODB and Gail turn on each other, and Kong retains, although I think Kong's days are numbered.
Strap Match
Are you kidding me? I love this fued. Booker is gaining huge pops, and Roode is drawing incredible heat. I think this is the last match of this stage of the fued, but I sincerely hope that Roode makes his presence known to Booker after the Bookman moves up the card. I could see this dragging on for a while with good results.
Anyways, I'll go with Booker. I see Roode getting Peyton Banks out of the flogging somehow.
XD Championship
I see Lethal retaining. He has way more momentum on his side.
Elevation X
Rhino. He just came back and killing his momentum right from the start would be a horrendously stupid idea. Oh god, someone has to make Russo disappear right now before it's too late.
Six Man Tag
Cage gets the pin, Tomko gets blamed, walks out on AJ in their LAX match, Angle and AJ get in each other's faces, Angle loses to Cage at the next PPV, starts a fued with AJ. Joe gets no recognition for his part in the match, takes his frustration out on Tomko. starts a fued with Tomko after the LAX match, comes out on top and starts a bigger fued with Christian for the Title.

Dude Angle is facing Joe at Lockdown. Cornette said it a couple of weeks ago.
From Goldberg619 on 3/9/08 11:33 AM
Wait is Lockdown the ppv when all the matches are in a cage?
From jeff on 3/9/08 12:34 PM
Yeah Lockdown is the ppv with all the matches in a cage. I think this match is worst than Elevation X which is a Capture the Rat match Kaz vs. Black Reign.
From theone86 on 3/9/08 6:07 PM
Well, there's always the don't step on the dog shi...I mean Kennel from Hell, a bra and panties match with Moolah and Mae Young *shudders*, a blindfolded guy trying to beat up his blind girlfriend match, and others. And it's not like WWE hasn't had stupid item on a pole matches, like paddles and so forth. And was TNA the first promotion to do scaffold matches? No.
From JamesP on 3/9/08 6:29 PM
Honestly, why's everyone getting on TNA for doing a scaffold match? It's not like they invented it! They've been around since the 80's for God's sake.
From ROHjuggalo on 3/10/08 1:42 AM
Yeah, but they are fucking lame!!! I also never said that WWE is amazing by any measure of the human brain. I just love wrestling and TNA isn't THAT bad but they also aren't THAT good.
From theone86 on 3/10/08 2:56 PM
That's how I feel about WWE the majority of the time. I feel like TNA, no matter how stupid their storylines may get, always give their wrestlers the opportunity to put on their best athletic showcase, whereas WWE has been known to book gimmicky matches, push unproven wrestlers to the top, put restrictions on thier matches, and basically water down thier own product.
