My Take On Survivor Series 07'
by Petedaddydolla on 11/19/07 8:22 PM
Well if anyone watched my video predictions for Survivor Series, the matches that I actually made a pick on were right!
1.The ECW match was somewhat plausible considering the fact that WWE has more people doing backstage interviews than there are wrestlers in ECW! Punk hit his spots,Morrison hit his and Miz tried not to screw up too badly! End Result:CM PUNK
2.10 Diva Match: I said that if Beth didn't win it for her team that she WOULD NOT lose them the match either. Result :Mickie hit the long kiss goodnight on Melina(DAMN THAT WAS HOT)
3.World Tag Champions "Whats His Name and that,...uhh..that OTHER GUY!" and their opponents "Bob 'Spark Plug'Holly and the RHODES KID WHOSE NOT EFFEMINATE/MASOCHISTIC ...oh and brings a rat named MISTY to the ring" End result: WHats his name and the other guy win!
4.Traditional Survivor Series match? Why do they have to call it that? We already know that it is Survivor Series...and in formentioned SURVIVOR SERIES one expects to SEE SURVIVOR STYLE MATCHES,no? This too me was the BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT! Triple H is still one of the best in the business, Jeff Hardy was good as well. Umaga did a good job of putting the faces over as usual as well.End Result :Triple H and Jeff Hardy survive.
5.Khali vs Hornswoggle....nobody cares at all. I didn't !
6.Orton vs. Michaels : This was not a disappointment at all to me, due to the fact that this loss by one HBK segways into the RETURN OF Y2J.....CHRIS JERICHO....THE IATOLLA OF ROCK-N-ROLLA tonight on Raw...I mean Raw IS JERICHO! End Result: Orton RKO's the SHIT outta HBK for the win.
7.Undertaker vs Batista : A certified blood bath from start to finish. It was really great for two of the big guys to do a long program like that in my honest opinion. What ruined the whole thing was that damn Edge coming back and wrecking the whole match.
IF YOUR STILL READING THIS IS THE CONCLUSION: This was another in the long list of BAD pay per views from WWE. Not completely bad but subpar at best. I hope them bringing back Jericho will give the WWE a boost in the right direction. Im finished and were about 40 minutes away from the start of Raw, talk to you in 2 hours and 42 minutes!

Surprised you disliked it, I thought it was the best WWE PPV since Backlash. In sitting there watching it, the only thought I really had after the show was that Hornswoggle/Khali kind of sucked (I was looking for something more definitive there). I thought the top 3 matches all delivered and the undercard did as well. To each their own. :)

No I didn't really dislike the whole ppv, i'm just overly cynical about the WWE because it just seems like they don't try at times. Not a slam on the performers, just the writing. But I mean you of all people have to see where I am coming from about the tag team titles. Number 1, they don't need two sets of tag team belts. Number 2, if they want them to be taken seriously don't put them at the opening of the card. They haven't taken the tag division seriously in a long time and it bothers me. I am a big fan of the tag matches, the division has a rich history and I just don't like to see it made a mockery of, plain and simple.

Yeah, the tag division is weak sauce right now. I was actually happy that Murdoch and Cade won, I was really betting on Cody and Holly winning but I think it would have hurt the division. The WWE has done a piss-poor job of pushing Cade and Murdoch since the Hardys feud, but at least them having such a long reign lends some credibility to the titles.

The "Traditional Survivor Series Match" is what this pay per view was built on. I just don't understand why they got away from the idea of having more than one of these on the card. The first Survivor Series card consisted of 4 of such matches.
This year had one(even the first card had a diva match)only difference was this year it was a 5-on-5 single fall match, so I ask what is the point? The 5 on 5 match w/Team Triple H vs. Team Umaga was an excellent match with a great finish! I said above it was the BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT. Raw last night was just as good with Hardy/Umaga. I like the combo of Triple H and Jeff Hardy for some reason.

Yeah that's what I was saying about the tag division man! They need to push these guys harder than the do. Winning at SS was critical for credibility, you are right. They may not be Demolition or the Hart Foundation, but they are talented guys(not as talented as the forementioned)but good workers none the less. They have the gold there for deserve the push that comes with that.

The problem with RAW is that they are kind of lacking in the credible tag team department They really only have Cade/Murdoch and London/Kendrick. The WGTT was a good team, but they didnt get pushed like i thought they should have and they ended up separating. I was sorry to see London and Kendrick lose their tag title matches, i thought they would have done a better job with it than Cade and Murdoch.
Smackdown, on the other hand, has some petty worthwhile tag teams. The Major Brothers, Deuce and Domino, hell, even Jesse and Festus.
All i can say is, i have a feeling that better tag teams are about to take the helm as champions.
oh and speaking of tag teams, who else here likes the idea of Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin teaming up?
