If WWE goes TOO Hollywood
by Sav3usJ1m1B on 8/15/08 9:58 AM
With the recent acquisition of Freddie Prinze jr. as a WWE writer simply so Mcmahon can open more doors for the company in Hollywood I'm worried about what other ideas McMahon may have to get his superstars more acting roles.
One major concern is what if he starts getting Actors to wrestle rather than his wrestlers acting?
The K-Fed thing was brilliant. K-Fed at the time was so hated by the media. Why? I don't know. K-fed is the man. He knocked up spears, ruined her life, knocked her up again, divorced her, then she shaved her head and has been ridiculed since. People hated his ass so Vince has him go one-on-one with (at the time) the most beloved WWE superstar John Cena.
Then there was the Donald Trump thing.
WCW's David Arquette run was lame. That's what I'm worried about happening. I know WWE is going to pull some people from hollywood and throw them on tv. Small appearances like when Rob Schneider judged a diva search event was ok whatever. But let's say they start actually putting these guys in matches? or even worse they have title runs? It could be good and it could be bad. Depends who you got doing what. Who would you like to see?
I'd like to see:
Ice Cube briefly running in a stable with Cryme Tyme.
Seth Rogen vs. Umaga.
Let's give Christian Bale a run with Intercontinental championship!
"Duane Johnson" vs. Santino.
Brief Smackdown GM Stephen Colbert.
Kal Penn as Khali's new translator. With Penn having no fucking clue what Khali is saying.
Batista vs. The cast of highschool Musical...
just a few ideas.

Well, you are right in some things. Id hate to see Jim Carrey wrestle D:. Id be like a parody of pro wrestling... But it looks like its going good for some wwe wrestlers in the hollywood scene. The Rock & Great Khali are both in Get Smart.

Yeah. The only thing i'd like to see with wrestlers being in movies...is they start being in movies that don't fucking suck.
examples of shit:
The Marine (John cena) - SUCKED ASS.
GET SMART (Khali & Rock) - SUCKED BALLS.
The Condemned (SCSA)- Not that great
Universal soldier 2 (Goldberg) - Terrible
Mr. Nanny (Hulk) - LAME.
Scorpion King (Rock) - mediocre at best
The Rock's 2 football movies (Rock) - garbage
Be Cool (Rock) - mistake.
DOOM (Rock) - Rather watch elderly people shit their pants in a nursing home all day.
See No Evil (Kane) - Average shitty horror movie with minimal plot and overexcessive gore.
There's so many more that are just straight up fucking retarded as well. What I can say though is that Kevin Knash makes some god cameos. And the biggest exception of all shit cock movies featuring WWE superstars has to be the remake of Longest Yard.
Longest Yard had Austin, Goldberg, Khali, Knash, and even Nelly (not a wrestler). And that movie was fucking ill.
sorry for my over excessive use of (parentheses).

oh and ironic on the Jim carrey comment.
He wrestled Jerry Lawler in the movie Man on the Moon when he played Andy Kaufman the greatest comic of all time.
They re-enacted the whole Kaufman/lawler feud.
Kaufman was the shit. That guy did the best heel character of allllll time. He had everyone hating him when he was the "trans-gender" champ. Not just wrestling audiences but like everyone. And it was all just one massive wrestling storyline he applied to his life for a period of time.
I wouldn't like to see Dane Cook come in and try to pull some shit like that today though.

LMMFAO!!! Colbert as SMACKDOWN! GM sounds AWESOME! Kal Penn as Khali's translator? GENIUS! Ice Cube doing a run with Cryme Tyme... not so much. Also laughed my ass off at the "I'd rather watch old people shit their pants" comment... Man, do stand up, and I'll support you!

LOL that was brillaint and although I am holding out for Stephen Colbert as GM alot of those ideas are far fetched they are no way out of WWE's regime, which should make everyone afraid.
