So, I'm sitting here watching Smackdown, and Boogeyman comes across my screen and I start thinking to myself, is there anyone LESS deserving of a push and screen time on my TV?

And then Mark Henry comes down to the ring.

Sad, that I have to watch this crap and James (jamie knoble) Gibson can't get any TV time except to put over less talented wrestlers. Goes to show you though, if you have sucess elsewhere, the glass ceiling is hard to smash through in WWE land.

And as for last week, I do have to be the first to admit that my inital reaction to the departure of RVD from the WWE was premature, however, they just did the same thing to him again on PPV to help get Randy Orton over. I'm sorry, I'm not going to buy Randy as a main event star no matter how many wrestlers on their way out he "concusses". And what the hell does Randy have in his boot? I mean, RVD takes a WICKED chairshot from Snitsky on ECW a few weeks ago and yet he's fine after that, but one kick to the head from Orton and he's headed for concussion land? Where's the continuty there?

Hmm, Vicky Guerrero now is on the TV. Now, I understand that she was once Eddy's better half, (and I use that term loosely) however, as I sit here and watch her on TV, I have to ask...is there any reason for her to be here? I mean, seriously...did Eddy blow all the money they had on a drug habit or something? Is this why she is still involved in wrestling? Does anyone know?

YES! Jamie Knoble (james gibson) actually gets screen time!!! Facing...Jimmy Yang. Heh. I wonder if Jamie Knoble and Jimmy Yang get the irony of the two of them being in the same match. I mean, Knoble started off as a white guy pretending to be asian, then went to the WWE and became a redneck, and now he's facing a man he fighting is an asian pretending to be a redneck. Hmm...what the hell is up with Vince wanting to make all of the old members of the Yung Dragons into rednecks? Is Kaz Hayashi next?

DAMN!!! That was one HELL of a finisher by London/Kendrick!!! It was a...Sliced bread II/powerbomb combo...imagine if these two were still in ROH or some other fed where they could actually wrestle the way they used to...actually, I'll just quit while I'm ahead on that one. It'll make me too depressed.

So, switching gears for a second, I think, and this is just a kneejerk reaction, having not finished Smackdown yet, that the match of the week is easily the match between Harris and Storm on TNA this week. I have to say, that TNA is missing the boat on these two. You could easily get one more big match out of these two and sell it for the PPV, but instead, after the kickass match they had last night, Storm is going to go into a feud with a no-name ex-NFL star, and Harris is going to team with Rhyno against LAX. Which makes no sense, but hey, I'm not booking TNA. Some guy named Vince Russo is. Never heard of him.

Is it wrong to spend $63.00 for ROH videos and DVD's just so you can take advantage of a weekly special and get one DVD free? I only ask cause if it is, I don't want to be right.

mmm...Canadian Wrestlers. Is there a bad Canadian wrestler? I mean, if there is, I am sure there must be, I can't think of them. I mean, we gots the Harts, Benoit, Lance Storm, Edge, Christian, Jericho, Petey Williams...I mean list goes on and on. Anyone got any ideas out there of crappy Canadians?

Anyone else get that real feeling of disappointment when JBL mentions that he "knows" Benoit and that he has for years? I mean, knowing what we've heard about JBL backstage? Don't you just feel sort of, I dunno, disappointed in Benoit? Maybe it's just the parent in me. Anyone else get that feeling?

Hmm, I'm running out of ideas here, so I'll leave you with one last final question for this week.

If women with big breasts work at hooters, then do women with one leg work at IHOP?

  • Goodbye Rob...

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Seriously though folks, anyone else really disappointed in RAW this week as I am? I thought the show was really...I dunno, crappy. I know Vince is still on his personal quest to bury ECW and everything associated with it, but usually RAW is pretty watchable.

Last night, for the first time in a long time, I had to turn RAW off.

And I'll be frank. When I started getting back into wrestling back in the late 90's Austin/Rock/DX/NWO era, ECW was a small blip in the radar and I didn't really pay them much attention until I saw RVD. It was the summer of my Sophmore year in College, I was in LA (don't ask) and I saw two things live on PPV that made me a wrestling fan for ever. 1st was the tragic passing of Owen Hart, and the 2nd was the RVD vs. Jerry Lynn match from, well, whatever PPV it was that they wrestled in that summer. Something 99', to be sure.

    And I was enthralled.

Here were two guys, willing to take the kind of punishment that they did for the sake of a great match. It wasn't the prettiest match, the best match, or really, thinking back on it, the best match they ever had. But it did get me thinking. Then, months later, when ECW moved to the ill fated Tnn show, I saw the 2 wrestle again on episode 4.

    And then I was hooked.

Yeah, and so I went and saw ECW live twice before it folded, started watching ECW PPV and whatever I could get my hands on, met a young Bill Lavin who introduced me to the "sport" of e-fedding and well, I met Bpapa from there and now here I am writing about wrestling on his website.

So, last night, Randy Orton went over RVD in a match that had RVD put Orton in a way I haven't seen since a young Chris Beniot broke Sabu's neck by accident and then got a push as the "crippler". So, farewell Rob. Thanks for the memories.

I don't think I'll be wathing RAW for a while.

But I'll be watching TNA with bated breath and high hopes for whoever Rob Szatkowski shows up as next.
